The difference between five kinds of network cables and six kinds of network cables
The difference between five types and six types of network cables: different internal structure, different copper core size and different transmission bandwidth.

1, different internal structures

The internal structure of six kinds of network cables is different from that of five kinds of network cables. A cross skeleton is added to the internal structure of six kinds of network cables. Four pairs of twisted-pair cables are placed in four grooves of the cross skeleton, and the cross skeleton in the center of the cable rotates with the change of length, while five kinds of cables do not have this structure.

2, copper core size is different

The sizes of copper cores of six kinds of network cables are different from those of five kinds of network cables. The copper core of five kinds of network cables is less than 0.45mm, and the standard of six kinds of network cables is 0.56 mm-0.58 mm

3. The transmission bandwidth is different

The transmission bandwidth of the five types of network cables is 100Mbps, which is mainly used for 100 Mbps networks and 10 Mbps networks; Class 6 network cable 1000Mbps or more is mainly used for gigabit networks, and its transmission performance is much higher than that of Class 5 network cable standard.

Matters needing attention in purchasing network cable

1, packing: Category 5 network cables, marked with the keyword CAT5E, each cable is 305m (1000ft). Category 5 cable is marked with CAT5, and the package is not 305 meters. Maybe this is not a network cable. On-line label: the product label of reliable manufacturers is modified by length, so it can be easily and quickly distinguished how long the 1 box line has been used when doing new projects.

2. Tested by digital multimeter: the single-core resistance of the national industry standard network cable at 305 meters is about 28 ohms, and the resistance of some super-category 5 network cables sold in the market even reaches 50 ohms, and the transmission interval is reduced by nearly 1.5.

3. Raw materials for network cables: Some fake and inferior network cables have two pairs of copper core wires and copper-clad thin iron wires, which is not a big problem when used in computer wireless, but harmful when used in video surveillance systems, and can be distinguished by a magnet.

4. Eyes: The density of five types of twisted pair should be close to 1CM.
