Handle mortgage cancellation:

Step 1: Contact the bank, auto financing company or guarantee company that handles the loan.

After paying off the car loan, you must first find the "mortgage contract" you have written, check the contact numbers of banks, auto financing companies or guarantee companies on the contract, and get in touch with them. If you contacted the loan through the 4S shop at that time, you can consult the installment department of the 4S shop.

Step 2: Get the motor vehicle registration certificate, loan settlement certificate and other key procedures.

Generally, a standard loan company will take the initiative to mail the relevant procedures to the 4S store within 10 working days after the loan is completed, and notify the borrower. After the mail arrives, the borrower can go through the relevant formalities with his ID card.

However, for bank loans or some small companies, it may be necessary to go through the formalities of car loan settlement first. After the bank checks it correctly, (if your car is loaned through a guarantee company, you need the guarantee company's certificate), you will receive the following procedures:

2. The "loan settlement certificate" issued by the loan company (or bank);

3. A copy of the business license of the loan company (or bank) shall be stamped with the official seal;

4. If the loan company (or bank) does not send staff to help lift the mortgage, it also needs a power of attorney issued by the loan company (or bank) to the owner.

Step 3: Apply for cancellation of mortgage registration at the vehicle management office.

The owner of the motor vehicle holds all the procedures obtained in the second step, and I (or led by the staff of the loan company) go to the vehicle management office to handle the "mortgage cancellation" registration. The owner of a motor vehicle shall fill in a business application form, which shall be jointly applied by both the motor vehicle owner and the mortgagee.

When handling, the original and photocopy of the motor vehicle owner's ID card must be submitted. If it is handled by others, the ID card of the agent and the power of attorney issued by the owner of the motor vehicle must also be provided.
