Master of Taxation (16 months) under the School of Accounting and Finance
Note: The Master of Taxation usually has a preparatory course for international students, which lasts about a few weeks. The main purpose is to let students understand Canadian tax knowledge and tax law knowledge. At the same time, the course composition of the Master of Taxation is divided into 3 teaching semesters interspersed with 2 internship semesters. In addition, the Master of Accounting at the University of Waterloo is only available to students who are studying accounting at the school. Therefore, students whose undergraduate degree is in China are not allowed to apply for the Master of Accounting at the University of Waterloo. However, they can choose the Master of Taxation.
The average undergraduate score is above 85, IELTS is above 7 (recommended is above 7.5) or TOEFL is above 100. There are no specific requirements for GMAT, but above 700 is recommended.
