The research of the participating team in Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital of Jilin University is a supplement and perfection to the existing RNA splicing theory, which clarifies the mechanism that the mutation of SF3B 1 leads to the "truncated" abnormal splicing of the important cancer gene DVL2, and lays a foundation for cancer treatment with the mutation of SF3B 1 as the target.
The project was directed by Professor Wan Zhenxin and Professor Hu Xin, the directors of the Cancer Biology Laboratory of Jilin University.
