Interviews are not metaphysics, there are paths to high scores.
Welcome to this issue of Chaoya Landing Experience. In this issue, we have a friend who will share her experience in interview preparation. You can call her Xiaojie. She used to be a very shy little girl who did not dare to speak in public, but now she has been ashore for more than half a year.
So, how did she overcome this social phobia and successfully get the first place in the civil service interview? If you have similar problems to her, then keep reading!
Q: Can you briefly introduce yourself to everyone?
A: Hello everyone, I am a tax bureau clerk who landed through Chaoya. Just call me Xiaojie.
I was a student in the first half of last year and took the provincial examination. In fact, when it comes to interviews, I don’t have a great advantage. Although I did well in the written test, as a senior sociologist, I am really afraid of interviews. I am worried that I will be dumbfounded and unable to say anything as soon as I enter the examination room. But fortunately, after studying and training at Chaoya for a period of time, my overall expression ability has improved a lot, especially since I have the courage to speak and can clearly express what I want to express, so in the end I performed well in the interview and got first place.
Q: As a social terrorist, what are your experiences and insights?
A: My experience is quite social death haha! When I was in college, I had to go on stage to give a ppt lecture. I actually prepared three or four days in advance, which can be said to be quite sufficient. But the moment I stood on the stage, my mind went blank. In the end, I just followed the words in the ppt. When I was studying, I couldn't mention the expanded content and some related knowledge points I prepared.
The biggest feeling is that I am always nervous, always worried that I will say the wrong thing, and worried that I will be picked out and "watched" again. When I see others talking freely in front of so many people, I feel envious and want to be like them, but I always can't take that step. I find it very difficult and don't know what to do.
Q: Why did you choose Chao Ya for the interview?
A: As a sociophobic person, I value the training part of a training class more, because I need a lot of training to improve my expression skills, and everything else is in vain.
I have learned about many institutions, and most of them are top-heavy, not giving much time and opportunities for training, or the prices are relatively expensive.
But Chaoya is better balanced. There are many opportunities for online simulations, there are also teachers to guide me, and I can come into contact with many students who are preparing for the exam like me. The price is also affordable by my financial ability at the time. , so I signed up directly without much hesitation. Looking back now, I still feel that this decision was very correct.
Q: How do you overcome "social fear" in Chaoya?
A: To be able to overcome social fear, I think my efforts and Chao Ya’s help are indispensable.
The first key point is that the exam preparation plan is suitable for me. We did a five-power test as soon as I entered school, and used the assessment results of various aspects of abilities to determine my first-stage preparation plan. The most intuitive benefit of this is that the preparation plan is very suitable for me. It does not mean that everyone will They have to be stuffed into a box, but taught in accordance with their aptitude.
This is very nice for people with social fears like me, because my foundation is relatively poor and I am timid. If I study according to the unified exam preparation plan, I will definitely not be able to keep up with others. I didn’t learn as much as others, and I wasn’t as solid as others, so the training effect was naturally not as good as others. This is probably what I would end up with if I went to other training institutions, but at Chaoya I don’t have such worries.
The second key point is that there are more opportunities for simulation. I have mentioned this before. There are many online simulations, which really stuck with me. Most of the students who practice with me have exam experience, and I can learn a lot from them. Slowly. The slowness has subtly influenced me, and the teachers are also very serious in guiding me, so I am progressing quite quickly and I am not so worried about exams.
The third key point is that the preparation plan will be adjusted. Because I have a relatively weak foundation, I made rapid progress in the early stage, but in the middle stage, I obviously felt that my stamina was not enough, and I felt like I was stuck on a platform and couldn't move up. But at this time, I took another test and readjusted my preparation plan. Some things that no longer applied to me were replaced, and I felt that I had regained the feeling of rapid progress. From this point of view, it is not without reason that my "social fear" can be overcome.
Q: As someone who has been there, what would you like to say to those “socially afraid people” who are preparing for exams?
A; I mainly want to say three points:
First, you need to understand the interview. This is the so-called knowing yourself and the enemy and you will never be in danger. We must clearly know what the interview we are preparing for is about, so that we can prescribe the right medicine to overcome the problem. You must be very familiar with the interview format, the entire exam process, and some precautions. This is the most basic point, so I won’t go into details.
The second is to know what to say. During the preparation process, I found that many people are not really socially anxious or unable to speak, but are just empty-headed and don’t know what they can say. In this case, even if you have social anxiety disorder, don’t care. Use it, so you must know what you want to say. You need to carefully follow the teacher to think through each question type and figure out the ideas and precautions for answering the questions, instead of just looking at a few templates. These things cannot help you get the first place. How to learn it specifically? See how much you can take in what Chao Ya mentioned.
The third is to train frequently. This is the most critical point. You must go through a lot of training to make expressing yourself a habit. Once you develop a habit, no matter how anxious you are, you can perform stably in the examination room without making major mistakes. . Now that I have said this, let me tell you a few more words. Many people can’t bear to open their mouths at first. Remember to tell yourself that if you want to go ashore, you can’t be afraid of being embarrassed. If you feel embarrassed, you are destined to pass the test. Not on! You must let yourself go!
