Guest of this issue: Tibetan wild donkey

Liu Jian, male, nicknamed Tibetan wild donkey, senior Tibetan friend, extreme sports enthusiast, owner of Tianjin Tibetan fans' club, and founder of Tibetan ten-year public welfare organization. In 2020, he was awarded the title of individual model of national unity and progress in Tianjin, a tax figure who moved Tianjin in 20 19, a nomination award of "Contemporary Xu Xiake" in 20 15, and a moral model title in Hexi District of Tianjin in 20 14.

Q 1: Hello, Teacher Liu, I'm very glad to invite a travel, photography and public welfare expert to "Let's Go About". Let's Go is a media matrix focusing on travel and self-driving. Let's Go About is a column about travelers with stories. Please introduce yourself to the fans first.

Hello, I'm Liu Jian, and I like sports, photography, public welfare and everything in Tibet.

Q2: You have a soft spot for Tibetan areas. When did you first enter Tibetan areas? How many times have you been to Tibetan areas over the years? How many routes have you taken? Why do you love Tibetan areas so much?

1998 I entered Tibet by car for the first time. In the 23 years since then, I have visited Tibet more than 20 times and traveled to most corners of Tibet and ten routes to Tibet.

At the beginning, I was obsessed with the landscape and wild animals in Tibet, and entered Tibet in various forms, vehicles and routes to realize my dream goal. Later, I gradually attracted people who liked this magical land, especially the pure and lovely children here, and hoped to do something meaningful for my compatriots in Tibetan areas.

Q3: Tibetan area is a large area including Xizang Autonomous Region, Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu and Qinghai. Tibetan area gathers the most beautiful scenery and the best humanities in China. As an "old donkey" who loves this area so much, can you recommend some places that you think are most worth visiting?

Ganzi, Baiyu, Shiqu, Guoluo, Zeku, for example, Jiali, Dingqing, Shuanghu, Nima and other Naqu Plateau, Shannan Ring Road, Himalaya and Gangdise, North China Line, Sichuan-Tibet Middle Line, Keliya Ancient Road, etc., are countless, and every time you go deep into Tibet in the past 23 years, you will still find different stunning scenery and surprises.

Q4: You first entered the Tibetan area because you love the cultural beauty there, but now the purpose of going to the Tibetan area is different. Can you talk about the process of changing your purpose of entering the Tibetan area?

Like most hikers, I entered Tibet in the first few times with the mentality of curiosity and conquest. I enjoyed the exquisite photography, the newly discovered hidden despair, different routes to Tibet, and anecdotes about Tibet, which made me feel full of gains.

Later, with the increasing number of visits to Tibet, I felt a sense of guilt inexplicably, especially when I saw the innocent eyes of those children with small mouths in Plateau, I felt that I should do something for them.

Q5: Over the years, how many times have you and your teammates gone to Tibetan areas for public welfare activities, where have you been, and what specific activities are you mainly engaged in?

Over the years, we have been to more than 50 schools, children's welfare homes, post-earthquake adoption homes, schools for the deaf, schools for blind children and teaching points in Tibetan pastoral areas, no-man's land and border areas to hold various public service activities. Footprints are spread all over most counties in Tibetan areas. From the initial assistance of stationery and clothing, it has gradually developed into more professional and pragmatic public service projects such as rescue, medical care, science and technology, guidance, planting, training, environmental protection and poverty alleviation.

Up to now, the team in Tibet for 10 years has been in Tibet for 21 consecutive years, with a journey of 300,000 kilometers and 16 times to carry out various public welfare activities, with more than 3,000 volunteers, helping more than 5,000 teachers and students in poverty-stricken areas in Tibetan areas, and donating more than 6 million yuan in accumulated materials.

After years of continuous exploration on the road of public welfare, Tibet has actively studied and responded to the concept of "helping the poor first, and helping the poor must help the wise", and gradually transformed from a single material donation to a brand-new public welfare model of technical assistance and precise poverty alleviation.

Last year, with years of persistence and professional management, the ten-year team in Tibet made fruitful explorations in the following four aspects: In July, the ten-year team in Tibet won a huge support of 800,000 yuan from the Central Ministry of Finance in 20 19 for "Coloring for Hope–a pilot project for the development of Tibet Changdu Children's Welfare Institute". A group of professional teachers composed of more than 20 volunteers who have been hiding for ten years provided psychological counseling to 420 children in Changdu Children's Welfare Institute.

Q6: You have also set up a "Tianjin Tibet Ten Years Public Service Exchange Center". What is the main purpose of setting up this organization?

Tianjin Tibetan ten-year public service exchange center was registered and established in 20 14. It is a municipal public welfare organization registered in Tianjin Civil Affairs Bureau. Her predecessor was the "Tibet Youyue" self-driving club. From1998-2011year, every time she entered Tibet, she donated stationery and clothes to help Tibetan children.

20 1 1 I traveled to Longkazi County in Shigatse for the ninth time in Tibet, and I saw the children taking exams on the plateau under strong sunlight, and I came up with the idea of "asking for the beautiful scenery in Tibet and giving back to the children in Tibet". After two years of planning, the public welfare album "Ten Years of Tibet" was published in 20 13, which raised more than 500,000 yuan for Tibetan children in that year, and then the public welfare organization was renamed "Ten Years of Tibet". Since then, Tibet has started an annual organized aid trip to Tibet in the form of a motorcade for ten years. Our vision is Do not forget your initiative mind, to build a love bridge and communication platform for Tibetan areas and children.

Q7: Public welfare activities are noble acts in themselves, and it is even more rare for a Tianjin native who is near the Bohai Sea in the east to go to the snowy plateau in the west not far from Wan Li to insist on doing public welfare. What drives you to do these things?

Everything stems from the obsession with the magical land in Tibetan areas, from a vision of repaying gratitude, and from the love for Tibetan children. The non-governmental public welfare organizations can persist for so many years, and it is definitely not my own strength. First of all, it has the strong support of various departments of the state. Last year, we undertook the charity project of psychological health counseling for orphans in Changdu Children's Welfare Institute, which was supported by the Ministry of Finance for a huge sum of 800,000 yuan.

With the help of thousands of volunteers and caring people all over the country, it is everyone's unknown selfless dedication that pushes me to stick to this road of public welfare. They are the real unsung heroes of the public welfare team in Tibet for ten years, and I am just one of them.

Q8: What are the most unforgettable experiences and stories in the process of engaging in public welfare activities in Tibetan areas in recent years? Can you tell us about them?

Let's talk about the story of five-color Hada Jingangbian. Friends who have been familiar with Tibet for ten years know that Jingangbian is the most popular charity souvenir among caring people in the charity sale for more than ten years. Every diamond braid is hand-woven by Tibetan children. This five-color Hada diamond braid with a faint buttered tea flavor from the snowy plateau is full of sincere thanks and good wishes from children thousands of miles away to the caring people who funded them.

The ancients said that "the three armed forces can win the handsome, but ordinary people can't win the ambition." Since its establishment, Tibet Ten-year Public Welfare has paid great attention to protecting children's self-esteem when subsidizing Tibetan areas. I hope to pass on the values of life that love is exchanged for love and labor is rewarding to children. Maybe their little hands are not beautifully woven, and maybe each child only has the opportunity to weave one, but we try to bring more practicality and happiness to children and donors by letting children get donations with dignity through their own labor. I believe that in the future, they will all become independent, strong and caring people. Now this little diamond braid has become a link between readers and Tibetan children through the platform of hiding for ten years.

The cover girl with big eyes and my gold, who has been hiding for ten years, is the iconic figure of our hiding for ten years. She has been worried about her all these years since the Yushu earthquake. Every time I go to Tibet, I look for her through various channels. Until 20 17 10, she was finally found in the 14 trip to Tibet. It is precisely because in this search journey that has spanned 1 1 year that the Tibetan ten-year charity team found hundreds of Tibetan children in need of help. They may have no tuition fees because they were admitted to middle school, or they may lack blankets and school clothes because of the cold weather, but they all have clear and bright eyes and innocent and lovely smiling faces. These lovely children are the driving force that encourages us to hide for ten years.

Q9: You are also a donkey friend and a photographer. Recently, a National Exhibition of Tibetan Photography and Paintings for Public Welfare was held. During your journey to Tibet for more than 20 years, you also took many wonderful photos. Can you show some of them and tell the story behind them?

Ten months since last year1February, despite the unprecedented COVID-19 epidemic, the | Looking for Mirrors | National Exhibition of Tibetan Photography and Paintings, held in Tibet for ten years, has been continuously exhibited, which has condensed the great love and hard work of 100 Tibetan photographers, artists, extreme sports, environmentalists and scientists all over the country, with unprecedented response.

Haha, I am also a big fan of Zouba.com. My Tibetan wild donkey has been nicknamed by its screen name for more than 20 years. Over the years, I have met many Tibetan fans and friends all over the country through traveling, photography and public welfare in Tibetan areas. I often say: Tibetan friends in the world are one family.
