Xinzheng is located in the central part of Henan Province, which belongs to Zhengzhou, the provincial capital. It is a key county (city) for opening to the outside world and a pilot county (city) for accelerating urbanization in Henan Province. It is also a national health city, an excellent tourist city in China and an advanced county (city) for comprehensive management of social security in China. It is 1989 one of the first ten famous historical and cultural cities in Henan Province, with many places of interest in the territory. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Zheng and Han successively established their capital in Xinzheng for 539 years, and Zheng and Han's ancient city was a state-level cultural relics protection unit. Provincial cultural relics protection units include Peiligang Cultural Site, Fengtai Temple Pagoda, Stone Paifang, Guo Wei Tomb, Chai Rong Tomb, Tanghu Site, Huayang Old City, Xugang Ancient Tomb, etc. Xuanyuan's hometown and Juzishan Yanhuang Cultural Tourism Zone have become holy places for Chinese and foreign tourists to pay tribute to the sages and descendants of Yanhuang.

In 2007, xinzheng city administered 3 streets, 9 towns and 3 townships 1 district: Xinjian Road Street, Xinhua Road Street, Xinyan Street, Hezhuang Town, Cannong Town, Lihe Town, longhu town, Xue Dian Town, Mengzhuang Town, Xincun Town, xindian town, Guodian Town, Baqian Town, Wanglong Town, Chengguan Town and Port Area. Hezhuang Town governs 22 administrative villages and 54 natural villages; Xue Dian Town governs 29 administrative villages and 70 natural villages. Xindian Town has jurisdiction over 50 administrative villages and 28 1 natural villages; Longhu town has jurisdiction over 28 administrative villages and 1 17 natural villages; Mengzhuang Town governs 30 administrative villages and 45 natural villages. Xincun Town governs 24 administrative villages and 108 natural villages; Cannong Town governs 2 1 administrative village and 80 natural villages; Lihe Town governs 23 administrative villages and 66 natural villages. Guodian Town governs 29 administrative villages and 88 natural villages. Chengguan township governs 14 administrative villages and 65 natural villages; Eight thousand townships have jurisdiction over 27 administrative villages and 50 natural villages; Wang Long Township governs 28 administrative villages and 52 natural villages. Xinhua Road Sub-district Office governs 10 residential area; Xinjian Road Sub-district Office has jurisdiction over 6 residential areas; Xinyan Sub-district Office has jurisdiction over 8 residential areas. The port area was established on March 26th, 2002, located on the west side of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. It is an important economic development zone around the development and construction of the international airport, one of the three major logistics centers planned and constructed in Zhengzhou, and an important window and base for Henan's opening to the outside world.
