1950 In July, before the establishment of Sino-Soviet Civil Aviation Co., Ltd., China and the Soviet Union carried out the station building and airport maintenance and construction work in Jiuquan. Although Jiuquan Airport has been built and maintained several times, its basic level is low and it is close to the West Mountain, which can't meet the needs of civil aviation development. In order to further develop civil aviation, the infrastructure project of moving and building a station was carried out in Jiuquan. 1953, a new airport later belonging to Jiayuguan city was built and put into use, while the original Jiuquan airport was abandoned and no longer used. However, the station name of Jiuquan Terminal has always been used as 1983.
Jiayuguan Airport is one of the airports with the longest civil aviation history in Northwest China. Since the expansion project of the terminal area was officially completed and put into use on 10, it has been equipped with the capacity of 4E-class international alternate airport. 1938 was built in the southern suburb of Jiuquan city, and 1952 moved to its current site, renamed as Jiuquan Station of Sino-Soviet Civil Aviation, and officially opened to traffic on July 1953. Jiayuguan is set up by enterprises. After being approved as a provincial-level city, the airport was renamed as Jiayuguan Station of Civil Aviation. In 2004, the airport implemented localization reform, and on June 28 of the same year, Jiayuguan Airport Company of Gansu Airport Group Co., Ltd. was formally established. On May 25, 2006, according to the strategic cooperation agreement reached between Gansu Province and HNA Group, Jiayuguan Airport was merged into HNA management sequence, and Xiongguan Airport entered a rapid development stage under the command of HNA Group's flagship.
Jiayuguan Airport was officially opened on July/July/October/October, 20 10/October, when it was a 3C-class civil airport. However, from June 1996 1 1, Jiayuguan Airport only opened in the tourist season, and the suspension time was lengthened year by year. Before the transformation, the flight zone was 4C, and only small aircraft such as Dornier and Challenger could take off and land.
On July 3rd, 2006, Kloc-0, six professional groups of the Acceptance Committee, which were composed of Northwest Regional Administration of Civil Aviation, Gansu Provincial Construction Department, Gansu Airport Group and Jiayuguan Municipal Government, passed the formal acceptance of Jiayuguan Airport Reconstruction Project after nearly two days of overall acceptance, which marked the complete completion of Jiayuguan Airport Reconstruction Project which lasted for nearly nine months. On August 4th, Jiayuguan Airport will officially resume its flight. On the same day, a Boeing 737 of Hainan Airlines flight H U743 1/2 will land here for the first time, and the other Boeing 737 will take off from Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport at 8: 00 am and arrive at Jiayuguan Airport at 9: 10. Hainan Airlines plans to add another flight H U743 1/2 every day. The total investment of Jiayuguan Airport Reconstruction Project is 1. 1. 1.598 million yuan, which is jointly invested by CAAC, provincial government and Jiayuguan municipal government. It is a regional airport project developed and constructed in western China. The foundation stone was laid on June 28th, 2005, and the airport was closed on March 28th, 2006. After the renovation, the length of the airport runway was extended from 2,800 meters to 3,000 meters, the width of the runway was widened from 48 meters to 60 meters, the station apron was changed from 2C to 2 C+ 1 E, and the flight zone level was upgraded to 4D. Jiayuguan Airport has become an international alternate airport on B2 15 route.
The foundation stone was laid in February 2008 and ground was broken in May 2009. After seven months of intense construction by all the project builders10, it was officially completed on August 30th, 20th10. From September 26th to 28th, Northwest Bureau of Civil Aviation and Gansu Provincial Development and Reform Commission jointly organized the completion and industry acceptance. The completion and putting into use of the expansion project of Jiayuguan Airport Terminal Area marks that Jiayuguan Airport has officially entered a new stage of operation and management. Jiayuguan Airport will be presented to the world with a brand-new look, perfect functions, advanced hardware facilities and smooth entry and exit procedures. Jiayuguan Airport will take this as a new starting point, actively explore the market, improve the service process, strengthen management, ensure safe operation, and strive to build Xiongguan Airport into a model of national small and medium-sized civil aviation airport management, provide more convenient and efficient air transport services for the broad masses of the people, and make new and greater contributions to better serve the sound and rapid economic and social development in the central and western regions of Hexi Corridor.
