Wuyi College is a public full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education on March 19, 2007. Its predecessor was Nanping Teachers College, which was founded on August 12, 958. 1962 1 month, Nanping Teachers College was established on the basis of the merger of Fuzhou Teachers College. 1September, 963, the school merged with several universities such as Xiamen and Quanzhou to form Fujian Second Normal University. It was closed during the Cultural Revolution. 1978 was reopened with the approval of the State Council.
