Wuwei No.26 Middle School, in order to promote the balanced development of compulsory education in the whole region and run a satisfactory education for the people, the Liangzhou District Party Committee and District Government made full use of the high-quality education resources of Wuwei No.6 Middle School on the basis of optimizing the education and teaching resources in Liangzhou District.

In 2020, a public junior high school with high starting point, high standard and high quality was established in the relocated campus of Wuwei No.6 Middle School, which belongs to the same body as Wuwei No.6 Middle School and enjoys all educational and teaching resources in the new campus.
