Hefei City’s new maternity subsidy regulations for 2022 are calculated and paid based on the average monthly salary of employees in the employer’s employer in the previous year. If the employer has paid maternity insurance premiums, its employees shall enjoy maternity insurance benefits; the unemployed spouses of employees shall enjoy maternity medical expense benefits as required. To receive maternity allowance, the employer needs to pay maternity insurance for employees for more than one year; the female employee who gives birth must have a household registration in this city; the employer pays maternity insurance for employees; related expenses during the childbirth period comply with relevant regulations on family planning; female employees will have miscarriages according to relevant regulations.
The supporting documents required to apply for maternity allowance are as follows:
1. Medical insurance card, medical insurance medical treatment manual, medical expense receipt, original ID card, original and copy of marriage certificate ;
2. Copy of hospitalization medical record, operation record or delivery record, discharge summary;
3. Insured unit account list;
4. Birth medical certificate, original and copy of child birth registration form, and application form for childbirth living allowance for female employees.

If the employer has paid maternity insurance premiums, its employees shall enjoy maternity insurance benefits; Unemployed spouses are entitled to maternity medical expenses in accordance with national regulations. The required funds are paid from the maternity insurance fund.
Maternity insurance benefits include maternity medical expenses and maternity allowances.
Article 56
If an employee has any of the following circumstances, he or she may enjoy maternity allowances in accordance with national regulations:
(1) Female employees are entitled to maternity leave after giving birth. ;
(2) Enjoy leave for family planning surgery;
(3) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
Maternity allowance is calculated and paid based on the average monthly salary of the employees in the employer of the employee in the previous year.
