Guanxian is located in Shandong Province, and guanxian has jurisdiction over three streets (Qingquan Street, Chongwen Street and Zhuang Yan Street), three towns (Xiedian Township, Lanwo Township and Wanshan Township) and 12 towns (Jiazhen, Sang 'a Town, Liulin Town, Qingshui Town, Donggucheng Town and Beiguantao Town).

Guanxian is adjacent to Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng City in the east, Linqing City in the north, Shenxian and daming county City, Handan City, Hebei Province in the south, and Guantao County, Handan City, Hebei Province in the west. The Yellow River Plain, located in the northwest of Shandong Province, is a part of the North China Plain with four distinct seasons.
