The origin of the place name of Miaoqian Town
The ancient name of Langcun in front of the temple, also known as Confucianism-worshipping or Confucianism-worshipping Pass, has been the frontier of Liancheng County since its establishment. Before the establishment of the county, it belonged to the Sixth Regiment of Gutian in Xinluo County, and Shaoxing was demolished by Gutian Township in the Southern Song Dynasty, and it was under the jurisdiction of Liancheng County (from Yuan Dynasty to Zhengnian Year, it was changed to Lianlian). The name of the temple front is inseparable from its economic development. During the Qing Dynasty, the bureaucracy was clear, and the people got a little chance to recuperate. The residents in Jingfang (now Miaoqian Village) gradually multiplied, so a Guandi Temple was built in the territory. Because the temple is located in a moderate position, merchants gradually built shops and set up street fairs around it. Every Tuesday and July is the fair period, and the market participants all say that they will go to the temple front to hold fairs.
