Overview of Fengjing
Fengjing Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai is the southwest gateway of Shanghai, an international metropolis. It is located at the junction of five districts (counties) and ten towns (townships) in Shanghai and Zhejiang, and it is the first stop for southern China provinces and cities to enter Shanghai. The registered population of the town is 63,000, the foreign population is nearly 40,000, and the population of the township is 30,000, with a total area of 9 1.66 square kilometers, of which the township area is 7.3 1 square kilometer. It has jurisdiction over 23 administrative villages and 6 residential areas.
Fengjing has a long history. Before 2000, people lived here; 1500 years ago has formed a market. From the Yuan Dynasty to the 12th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1275), Bainiu Town was built and renamed Fengjing Town in the Ming Dynasty. In the fifth year of Xuande in Ming Dynasty (1430), the town was divided into two towns, namely, the south town was under the jurisdiction of Jiashan County of Zhejiang Province and the north town was under the jurisdiction of Songjiang County of Jiangsu Province. 195 1 March, North and South towns merged and belonged to Songjiang County, Jiangsu Province, and 19661October was transferred to Jinshan County (1May, 1997 12, after Jinshan was withdrawn from the county, it belonged to Jinshan District. On March 28, 2005, with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Fengjing Town and Xingta Town were separated from the second and built into the first, and now Fengjing Town was formed. In September, 2005, it was named as the only famous historical and cultural town in China by the Ministry of Construction and the Cultural Relics Bureau. On February 27th, 2005, KLOC-0 was named as "National Health Town" by the National Aiwei Office. In August, 2005, it was named "Advanced Villages and Towns in National Civilized Villages and Towns Creation" by the Central Civilization Committee.
First, a developed and convenient transportation network
The land transportation in Fengjing Town is very convenient. The Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway goes directly to southern provinces and cities, and the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway and National Highway 320 pass through the territory.
