Article 8 of the Trademark Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the following characters and figures shall not be used for a trademark applied for registration in China:

1. identical with or similar to the national name, national flag, national emblem, military flag and medal of People's Republic of China (PRC);

Two, the same as or similar to the foreign name, national flag, national emblem, military flag and medal;

3. The flags, emblems and names of international organizations between * * * are identical or similar;

Four, with the "Red Cross" and "Red Crescent" signs, names are the same or similar;

Five, the common name and graphics of the goods;

Six, directly indicate the quality, main raw materials, functions, uses, weight, quantity and other characteristics of the goods;

Seven, with ethnic discrimination;

Eight, exaggerating propaganda and deception;

Nine, harmful to socialist morality or other adverse effects.

Geographical names of administrative divisions at or above the county level in China or foreign geographical names known to the public shall not be used as trademarks, except those with other meaning; Registered trademarks using geographical names shall remain valid.
