Freelance has many advantages. On the surface, there are four advantages:
1, regardless of the boss's face
When you become a freelancer, you are your own boss, and no one can help you. You can do whatever you want as long as you don't overstep the moral and legal vigilance.
You don't have to work from nine to five.
It's hard to work nine to five. Dare not stay up too late at night. Can't sleep in the morning. As soon as the alarm clock rings, I have to climb out of the gentle bed and exile myself. If you were a free man, you wouldn't have these pains. You can have fun and sleep as long as you want. No one will interfere with you even if you lie in bed from morning till night without eating, drinking or pulling. Only the bed is the most touching in the world, so don't let it down.
3, don't be rigorous instrument.
As a freelancer, you get rid of the shackles of office dress, you don't have to wear a suit and tie, you can wear whatever you want, and no one dares to care about you.
Furthermore, because freelancer is a relatively free and active workspace, it is easier to stimulate inspiration and creativity.
In-depth analysis: perhaps these superficial temptations make people rush!
The so-called freedom of freelancers
Someone said, "I have been a beggar for three years, and I don't want to go to the Golden Temple again." This statement is somewhat exaggerated, but it also shows people's yearning for a free life. A friend has partnered with others to open a law firm, and the business is not bad. A foreign company hired him as a department manager with an annual salary of 500,000. This is a good job. Because he didn't earn that much in two years, he thought about it for a few days and finally didn't go. "I don't want to see the boss's face."
In fact, freedom is relative. Never act rashly just because you are an independent singer, lawyer, freelance writer and witkey. There is no such thing as a good thing. The 20th century was a market economy. Everything is for exchange. If you want it, you must pay. If you want to be famous and show off to the world, you have to sacrifice some privacy, and sometimes you have to make a lot of noise to attract the attention of the audience As a lawyer, you should stop your daily moral judgment, put aside your personal likes and dislikes and defend your guilt and innocence; Even a freelance writer can't scribble on his own temperament. You must cater to the editor's taste and understand the fashion, otherwise you can't contribute, and your livelihood will be in question. The same is true of being a witkey. You should cater to customers' opinions in every way and make compromises!
It is true that freelancers want to have their own spiritual pursuit and have better requirements for themselves to some extent. Most freelancers like to do it themselves. They don't want to hire help because they don't believe that others will do it as well as they do. Most freelancers don't like to partner with others because they don't believe that others will do things the way they like.
Sadly for freelancers, the more successful their career is, the longer they work and the shorter they spend with their families.
Becoming a freelancer is not an easy task. To become a freelancer, you must have certain knowledge and skills, social viability and strong will. Without survival skills and corresponding social relations, you are not qualified to be a freelancer, and those who become freelancers are by no means incompetent and mediocre.
In China, freelancers include three types of people.
The first category is small businessmen, such as the owners of individual retail stores, snack bars, printing shops and decoration companies.
The second category is salesmen without basic salary, such as life insurance consultants, real estate agents, advertising agents, direct sellers and so on.
The third category is professionals, such as photographers, patent agents, lawyers, accountants, dentists, technical consultants, management consultants, plumbers, electricians, hairdressers, artists and so on.
For the third type of freelancers, money is not the most important thing. Their independence, their freedom to do things in their own way, and their honor as experts in their fields are far more important than pure money.
The third way for freelancers
1. The road to employment is the first road: although it is paved, it is already crowded. Walking on this road is always full of opportunities and imagination, but the competition is also fierce. The reality that supply exceeds demand has made the government and the people make up their minds that they must open up new roads and let the pressure be released.
2. Entrepreneurship is the second way: it is only suitable for a small number of people. The road conditions are unknown, and the road is full of potholes and dangers. If you fall into a sewer without a manhole cover, your bad luck will be hard to get rid of quickly. Of course, those who finally come out of this road can get the courtesy of a hero's triumph.
3. Freelance is the third way: it is a new road to be explored, and it is also a more personalized and diversified ideal road. This road, the investment cost is very small, and there is only one participant, so the probability of failure is very small. Because of this road, people with different specialties can be diverted from the first two roads and let them go their own ways.
I don't recommend you to be a freelancer: the reason is simple. Freelance is also a profession, which is not as easy as you think.
Red and black of freelancing
There is a saying in Qian Zhongshu's Fortress Besieged: Marriage is a besieged city. People outside the city want to go in, and people in the city want to come out. In fact, the same is true of freelancing. Many people in the workplace want to escape from the cubicle and look forward to a broader world. At the same time, many freelancers choose to return to the workplace and find a stable job.
What are the disadvantages of freelancing? To sum up, there are at least four points.
1, unstable, low security.
The opposite of flexible employment is actually instability and insecurity. The biggest drawback of freelancing is instability, which leads to unstable income and welfare.
For example, you can take ten orders this month, and your income far exceeds expectations, but there may be only two orders next month. This kind of risk was previously borne by the company. No matter whether the business volume is good or not, even if there is no single business, you still have a basic salary, but freelancing depends entirely on yourself. In addition, social security and provident fund often need to be paid by themselves.
Without support, you have to rely on yourself.
Freelancers usually work alone, work independently and do everything by themselves. So this has created a situation that everything can only be done by ourselves, without support and backing. So there are also many small groups of freelancers working together.
3. Life and work have lost their boundaries.
You can work anytime, anywhere. Behind this freedom is the complete loss of boundaries between life and work. When you become a freelancer, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that this is 007. It is on call 24 hours a day, and leisure is work. There are no so-called weekends and holidays.
4. Low efficiency and limited growth.
People who work at home during the epidemic may have this experience. Working at home is not as efficient as working in a company. It may take half a day to finish two hours before home.
There are often two reasons for this situation. First, the status is not online, and the work is usually highly concentrated in the company, but it is different at home, often loose, and the efficiency will naturally be different; Second, there is too much interference. Working in a company is to concentrate on work, not at home. Your mother will call you to pick up the courier at the gate of the community, and the child will let you accompany him to build the building blocks.
In addition to low efficiency, the growth of freelancers is usually limited and slow. On the one hand, there is no supervision, on the other hand, there is still a certain gap between individuals and companies in information enjoyment and resource channels.
Everything has two sides. If you want to know something objectively and comprehensively, you can't just look at one side. The pros and cons of freelancing are roughly like this. If you have the consideration of career transformation, you may wish to have an in-depth understanding first.
