The new capital is the area of Chengdu.
There are 11 central urban areas in Chengdu, namely jinniu district, Qingyang District, Jinjiang District, Wuhou District, chenghua district, Shuangliu District, Pidu District, Xindu District, Longquanyi District, Wenjiang District and Tianfu New District, an industrial park.
jinniu district, Qingyang District, Jinjiang District, Wuhou District and chenghua district were the original main urban areas of Chengdu, plus the high-tech zone of industrial parks, namely, the model of five urban areas+high-tech zone.
with the continuous development of Chengdu, the urban boundaries are constantly extending to the periphery. Since Shuangliu County and Pixian County successively withdrew from the county to establish Shuangliu District and Pidu District, all the areas in the second circle of Chengdu have become municipal districts.
In this way, within the scope of municipal districts, Chengdu has the right to directly administer all districts and counties within the second circle for the first time. Therefore, all the districts on the second floor of Chengdu, together with the original five districts, constitute the central city of Chengdu.
The newly-added central cities include Pidu District, Xindu District, Longquanyi District, Shuangliu District, Wenjiang District and Tianfu New District, an industrial park.
