So young people are not suitable for playing? That's not necessarily true. Therefore, you need to do some homework in advance to come to such a heavy city, so that you can better understand the city.
1. How to get to Datong?
Datong is located in the northernmost part of Shanxi. If you leave from Beijing, you can choose to take the train, but at present, Datong has not opened high-speed rail and bullet trains, so it takes 7-8 hours to get there by train. If you are not used to ordinary trains. Then it is more suitable to choose a plane to go.
If other cities come to travel here, it is also very suitable to choose Taiyuan or Hohhot in Inner Mongolia as a transit. Because it only takes about 4 hours by ordinary train from Taiyuan to Datong, if you still can't get used to it, you can choose to fly from Taiyuan. Some small airlines have tickets around 60 yuan, so you can consider it, but the airport is not very close to the urban area, so you still have to toss and turn.
2. Is the air in Datong full of coal?
It can be said that the air in Datong is not as bad as everyone imagined. On the contrary, it is ok in northern cities, at least much better than Shijiazhuang.
3. How to arrange the route of Datong?
Day 1: Datong-Hengshan-Hangkong Temple
You can choose to charter a bus from Datong to Hengshan and Hangkong Temple, and choose to go to Hengshan first in the morning and spend 2-3 hours enjoying Hengshan. Hengshan Mountain is not too spectacular, and there are not many ancient relics preserved, but it is, after all, the North Mountain among the five mountains, and it is very suitable for tourists with punch-in plots. Compared with other four mountains, the tickets here are relatively low.
After visiting Hengshan Mountain, you can return to Hangkong Temple. It's very strange to get tickets to the temple in the sky. If you enter the scenic spot, you will have to pay 100 yuan if you want to go to the temple, which means a total of * * *1/5 yuan. Should you spend this 100 yuan ticket to the temple? If you think you can't miss it when you're here, it's worth it. Of course, if you are not particularly cold about ancient buildings, I personally don't think you need to buy a ticket. Generally speaking, it is more than enough to spend 2 hours in the hanging temple.
Knock on the blackboard:
1. There are some snack bars next to the second parking lot of Hangkong Temple, where you can have lunch. Hunyuan bean jelly and pine smoked eggs are mainly recommended. The two add up to only nine yuan, which can be said to be the most cost-effective scenic meal I have ever seen.
2. It can be said that why Datong is not famous for its tourism is largely due to the lack of details. For example, there is no direct bus to the scenic spot. If you want to go to Hengshan Mountain or Hangkong Temple from Datong City, you must first go to hun yuan and then change trains. There is no shuttle bus from Hangkong Temple to Hengshan Mountain, either on foot or by black car. Therefore, according to Pony's travel experience, it will make it easier for you to choose a chartered car. Generally, the bus fare from Datong City to Hangkong Temple and Jiaheng Mountain is about 100 yuan.
The next day: Huayan Temple-Shanhua Temple-Jiulongbi-Yungang Grottoes
Huayan Temple is the largest, and you can spend 2 hours visiting it carefully. Although Huayan Temple is very large, there are only three places worth seeing.
The third is Huayan Pagoda next to the Pujia Temple, which is the second wooden tower after Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, and it is also very visible. In addition, you can see the underground palace made of 130 tons of pure copper under the pagoda.
Recommended guide for urban attractions:
The order of the three scenic spots in Pony's heart is as follows:
Huayan Temple > Shanhua Temple > Jiulongbi > city wall
Time schedule of three scenic spots:
Huayan Temple: You can spend 2 hours visiting it.
Shanhua Temple: You can spend half an hour to an hour visiting it.
Jiulong wall: 15 minutes is enough.
In the evening, you can choose to climb the wall of Datong to enjoy the night view. Free visitors only need to enter with their ID cards at the gate. Because the city wall is too big, it is suggested to go up from the east gate to the south gate, and there will be a musical fountain performance at the south gate every night.
In fact, if it's not a deep tour, two days in Datong is enough, and you can basically visit all the regular attractions.
4. What must-punch food does Datong travel have?
As a place rich in pasta, the snacks that must be punched when traveling here are naturally all kinds of pasta. The following pony recommends several foods that must be punched.
1. Daoxiao Noodles
Recommended index: 5 stars
As a tourist to Datong, Daoxiao Noodles must be the last place to miss. There are many shops selling Daoxiao Noodles in the streets of Datong. Generally speaking, every store is doing well. If you have to recommend it, you can focus on chain stores such as Oriental Daoxiao Noodles. Cleanliness is more suitable for tourists.
2. steamed dumplings
Recommended index: 4 stars
Where to eat: Fenglinge, it is said that it is one of the more prosperous restaurants in Datong. Basically, Datong specialty foods are available here, and the decoration is very luxurious, so it can be regarded as a scenic spot. Of course, locals rarely come here. As tourists, if you are too lazy to run around, you can try it all at once.
3.steamed stuffed bun
Recommended index: 4 stars
It can be said that there are many delicious steamed stuffed bun shops in Datong, such as Sun Ji Steamed Bun, which is one of them. Locals basically go there, and there are many branches, and the tastes are basically the same, so they choose at will. Bacon packs are recommended.
In addition, oat noodles, Datong hot pot, sipping pot, mutton offal, hot and sour powder, etc. are also delicious foods that can be punched in when traveling to Datong.
5. What's the price of a trip to Datong?
Accommodation: It can be said that the price of Datong, a fourth-tier city, is really not expensive. First of all, accommodation is not expensive. It seems that there are only more than 300 four-star hotels, and the location is good. It is recommended to stay. Of course, if you want to save money, you can stay in an express hotel with breakfast around 120, and the environment and traffic are great.
Transportation: It's not expensive to take a taxi in Datong. Generally speaking, it costs 7 yuan within 3 kilometers. In addition, Datong city is not big, and the scenic spots can basically be reached by walking or within the starting price. Of course, Yungang Grottoes will be far away, and it is generally not expensive to take a taxi. 20 yuan can almost handle it. For Hengshan Mountain and Hangkong Temple, chartered cars are the most cost-effective and convenient.
Eating: Eating in Datong is also very cheap, and the weight is very sufficient. If you eat vegetables, it is enough for two people to order two dishes. Generally speaking, if you eat snacks, your average person is around 20 yuan, and if you cook, you can eat very well if you are 40-50 yuan.
This is Pony's travel strategy for this rich city. I believe you will have many surprises during your trip to Datong.
