The Beijing Examination interview is not an interview with the person taking the exam. Interviews for national civil servants are conducted by a panel of interviewers, who are rarely internal staff of the unit to which they apply. But occasionally people from the applied units will participate in the interview, so let’s talk about the score. Generally, departments in the national examination, such as taxation, customs, ministries, etc., will have people from the units where they apply to participate in interviews, but not all interviewers are people from the units. For positions at or above the provincial level in the provincial examination, people from the units you applied for will participate in the interview. Positions at the prefecture and city levels are generally organized by the Organization Department, and people from the units you applied for will not participate in the interview.
