Is it too late to be a lawyer at 35?
I regret being a lawyer at the age of 35.

I regret being a lawyer at the age of 35. I believe everyone has seen lawyers in TV dramas. Most people will think that lawyers are a well-paid and reputable profession and want to become lawyers. Share the following: I regret being a lawyer at the age of 35.

I regret being a lawyer at the age of 35 1 When I decided to take off my robe as a judge and put on my robe as a lawyer, I experienced many hesitations and struggles inside, and my working status changed from stable to unstable, which was very stressful for me as a middle-aged lawyer.

In my past work experience, I worked in the court and the Political and Legal Committee one after another. When dealing with lawyers, the endogenous motivation of the legal profession activated my inner blood and prompted me to enter the legal profession and begin to enjoy the pain and joy from scratch.

First, perceive the market and quickly find business areas

After I changed my status from a judge to a lawyer, I had to face the problem: how to find my position quickly? I began to guide myself to find more specific questions and try to find answers.

Judging from my previous career as a judge, I can finish my work well as long as I concentrate on my business, but lawyers need to improve their reputation in the industry and establish their own influence and brand besides being proficient in their business.

Having found some ideas, I began to study around and explore my business orientation.

Suzhou, where I live, has a developed private economy and a market subject of more than1000000, so I position my business field as enterprise service. Then the question is, how can I enter the entrepreneurial circle when I have little contact with the business field?

In the face of successive problems, I believe that there will always be solutions.

After leaving the court system, I sorted out the entrepreneurs I knew, understood the potential legal risks of their companies and gave a reasonable plan. Slowly, several companies hired me as a legal consultant.

The previous work was really tiring, and I thought about giving up more than once, but in order to find more possibilities for myself, I began to expand my channels of receiving information.

Occasionally, I read an article that lawyers' brand promotion methods are "word-of-mouth, speeches and writing articles". Through various understanding, iCourt has systematic counseling and training courses specifically for lawyers to improve their work efficiency.

Through study, I have mastered the thinking of speech and related skills. After a lot of deliberate practice, I began to boldly go to the podium to make the audience like my speech. This experience has greatly helped my practice.

After returning to Suzhou, I tried to hold legal lectures in chambers of commerce and associations, where entrepreneurs are concentrated, and self-marketing by showing my good professionalism. This precise marketing has won me a number of customers.

When I felt that everything was developing in a good direction, life suddenly threw a pot of cold water on me.

A consulting company is going to set up a new company. They asked me about the advantages and disadvantages of the equity structure and tax comparison between natural person investment and legal person investment. I am embarrassed to admit that I don't know much about finance and taxation. I can't forget the disappointed eyes of the general manager.

Knowing the shortcomings of my business, I participated in the "Special Training Camp for Lawyers' Finance and Taxation" organized by iCourt, and systematically studied the identification and planning of financial and taxation risks of enterprises' investment and financing, including accounting principles, financial statements, equity structure design and so on.

When I first came into contact with the knowledge of finance and taxation, I didn't even understand some of the contents. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to resume classes. Through the second and third classes, I gradually absorbed and mastered the relevant knowledge.

Through a period of accumulation and practice, my business areas have expanded from simple contract review and labor compliance to equity structure design, tax planning, capital increase and shareholding, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and continued to expand the depth and breadth of my services to enterprises.

In the process of helping enterprises solve legal problems, I try to provide resource integration services for entrepreneurs by using the information and resources I have mastered. Because I helped enterprises solve practical difficulties and even helped some enterprises complete strategic adjustment, entrepreneurs began to regard me as their real friend and think tank.

Second, form a team and build a strong position for young lawyers

The business volume gradually increased, and I formed my own team. I hope that the ideal state of the team is: the team helps members to improve their abilities, make them better and become a platform for their growth.

In the Internet age, technology drives legal progress, which makes me have to keep up with the times after 70.

So I came to iCourt again to learn the skills that lawyers must master today, such as efficient legal retrieval, big data analysis, litigation visualization, legal logic training and so on. Through learning, I have mastered how to use intelligent legal service tools to improve work efficiency, and at the same time optimized my thinking mode, and gained a lot.

During the two-day study time, I saw that young people occupied the majority in different classes. They absorbed new knowledge more easily and were better at using new tools, which made me feel the sense of urgency of "the waves behind the Yangtze River push the waves before".

I told the young lawyers in the team not to take the completion of the work assigned by me as the standard, but to follow the example of all the young lawyers who are constantly learning and striving for progress, constantly consolidate the foundation of their professional skills, constantly update their professional knowledge base, keep up with the pace of the times, be good at using technical tools to improve work efficiency and win the victory in the future practice competition.

More importantly, I believe in young people and hope that the team can give young people a broader space for growth. I will let young lawyers develop freely and encourage them to achieve rapid growth with a sense of problems and results.

I will ask young lawyers to build a business service process system, create a number of products such as corporate governance, contract management, labor and personnel management, and corporate legal risk prevention, strengthen knowledge management, and guide them to continuously fill their "list of capabilities" through the setting and improvement of each task.

Third, cross-border integration, build a strategic layout

In the process of serving enterprises, entrepreneurs often ask questions about marriage and property inheritance. Based on the needs of customers, I also began to pay attention to the field of family wealth inheritance.

By chance, I learned about the Chinese Testament Library, a public welfare project, which is a project to register wills for people over 60 for free and keep them for life. This is a public welfare undertaking that is beneficial to the society, and it is also a slogan of family wealth inheritance business.

After returning to Suzhou, we began to prepare for the Suzhou appointment point of the Chinese Testament Library, which was officially launched on 20 18 10. Afterwards, team lawyers walked the streets and communities together, and gave dozens of lectures on legal knowledge about inheritance for the community free of charge.

Now, the Chinese Testament Library Suzhou Wuzhong Reservation Point has made wills for nearly 100 old people for free. In the words of the old people, you have solved my worries and done us a great thing!

Due to the landing of Chinese Testament Bank in Suzhou, many insurance, trust and pension institutions have found us, hoping to cooperate with us in the field of family wealth inheritance.

At this point, our team's two strategic layouts, corporate services and family wealth inheritance, have all been completed. Its internal business logic is the inheritance of enterprise-equity-entrepreneur-family wealth. Through cross-border integration and cross-domain integration, I have a new orientation for my future career development.

After I set foot in the field of family wealth inheritance, I found that the field is very wide, covering the distribution and inheritance of family business equity, family business control, family business succession and cultivation, and using family trust, insurance plan, will and tax planning to realize marriage risk, asset risk isolation of family business and preservation, appreciation and inheritance of family fortune.

Moreover, because most family businesses involve domestic and foreign asset allocation, family membership and foreign marriage, not only the legal relationship is complex, but also overseas professionals need to participate. Therefore, the team members need to be versatile, and at the same time, the team needs to have the overall planning ability of various resources and institutions.

Some people may say that this can't focus, and it will distract the power. But in fact, when our team is large enough, the extension of business architecture is not contradictory, but complementary.

In the three years' development, I didn't have smooth sailing, but mistakes and failures are the price of innovation, and they are all allowed to appear. Everyone is trying to find their own position through trial and error.

In the past three years, I sometimes doubted whether my choice was correct. In this journey of constant self-denial and error correction, I gained growth and won the trust of the team.

In this process, the most common thing that comes to mind is the sense of crisis. How to make myself strong is a problem that I often think about.

For my future career, I hope to build an attractive and dynamic team assessment and distribution mechanism, organizational structure and talent echelon training model.

In addition, it is necessary to establish a family wealth inheritance service ecosystem, attract practitioners from different fields and industries such as law, insurance, trust and notarization, and enjoy the knowledge, experience, service process and text results.

I regret being a lawyer at the age of 35. I came to Hangzhou alone in 2008. I originally planned to take the civil service exam. When I was studying, my classmates chatted together. Everyone wanted to be a lawyer. I lied about being a civil servant. In 2008, I took the exam for another year and failed the list. Most of the students who wanted to be lawyers were admitted to civil servants or did legal work, but only I entered a law firm and became a paralegal.

In 2009, I worked as an intern lawyer for one year and practiced. A few years ago, I have been worried about business, but I have persisted. After several years, the business gradually stabilized and settled down in Hangzhou. I think that I just arrived in Hangzhou, but I am in a pinch. I don't have a taste.

Do you regret being a lawyer? Just like the line in Wong Kar-wai's movie "The Grandmaster": "If you have no regrets in life, how boring it will be!" Now that we are in the age of no doubt, many things have been relaxed. Life is a constant choice, and there is no right or wrong. The road of life is different, the scenery is different and the harvest is different.

If you really regret it, it's not that you regret choosing to be a lawyer, but that you didn't realize life in the first few years when you were a lawyer, and you were always worried about your case source. If you look back at the present results, you won't be so worried, and how can you know at that time?

Lawyers' working hours are relatively free, and now they are more and more accustomed to this relatively random way of working, so they don't have to go to work on time. I am most gratified that I can play basketball while others are working. After working as a lawyer for several years, my business is stable and my income is ok. It's a well-off society.

Many directors of law firms I know make their next generation lawyers. After all, they still think lawyers are good. Therefore, those who can persist in being lawyers should not regret it; Those who regret it may not stick to it.

I regret being a lawyer at the age of 35. I resigned as a civil servant and became a lawyer for three years. Do you regret it?

Time flies, time flies, and when it comes to the annual beginning of autumn, it has been three years since I resigned from public office to become a lawyer, and it has been ten years since I entered Xinjiang to take the civil service exam on June 201/. Therefore, I always want to calm down and sum up in recent days, especially the past few years since 18 resigned in July. Three years is not long, but short. This year, I founded a new law firm with my partners. Now everything is on the right track. Anyway, it can be regarded as a summary of the stages in my life!

20 18 is indeed an unforgettable year for me, because in that year, when I was thirty years old, I gave up seven years of work and accumulation in the system and chose to start from scratch and follow the law from the heart.

I have been working for seven years, and the procuratorate has worked for five years to become the backbone of the business. It is worthy of my diploma as a graduate of Southwest Political Science and Law, which has enabled me to accumulate a certain amount of criminal law business, and it has become a skill for a smooth transition as a lawyer later, while the party Committee has worked for the department for two years.

It also made up for many shortcomings of my professional cadre. In my own sense, I learned a lot from those two years' experience and met many excellent people. I still remember that there was a saying in my resignation report at that time that "[benefit] was not shallow and benefited for life".

As a foreigner, it is not easy to have the opportunity to be elected from a grass-roots procuratorate to the organization department of the higher-level party Committee, which is generally considered to be very good. For this, I am very grateful to several colleagues and leaders who have recognized me. I really didn't take care of it until I resigned these years. I have always felt guilty about it.

Some people may ask, why did such a good company resign? I want to quote the original words in my resignation report, which is of course the truth. "Because my parents are old, my mother is in poor health, my children are young and my family is in financial difficulties, I now apply to resign from public office in order to take better care of my family." Yes, that's right. My family is in financial difficulties. Because I was born in the countryside, my parents tried their best to give me up as a college student. It is even more impossible to continue to support me financially. Facing the life in the city, everything has to cost money.

It's really hard to get the salary of about 3,000 yuan a month, but one thing is that the mortgage fund is enough, otherwise it's really hard to survive, let alone save money to buy a car. At that time, my wife was pregnant with a second child. Therefore, I don't have any family resources, so I can only change if I am poor. Resignation to earn money became the biggest and most difficult problem at that time.

Seven years of hard work and a good platform are the envy of many people. Once you resign, it means that all your efforts will be fruitless and you will personally ruin your career. Inner struggle, long-term loss of sight, the future is still unknown, but the choice is faced with loss first. Those months are the most tangled and painful time for me to grow up. Sometimes I can't give up, and sometimes I am unwilling to reality, so that I finally keep talking to myself, being myself and listening to my heart. If I want to get it, I will lose it.

Finally, I made up my mind to report, communicate, strive for understanding and support, and was successfully approved. At the moment when the real meeting was passed, my heart was empty. That feeling lasted for half a year after I entered the law firm. I felt that I had left the unit, lost my organization, lost my goal and lost my direction, just like a ship returning home at night suddenly lost the guidance of the lighthouse.

After resigning, I didn't have a rest, so I went directly to the law firm and joined the criminal defense team led by Wu Bo to do some auxiliary desk work. Of course, I had contacted Yu Shengjie, who had a similar background and resigned as a lawyer before. Fortunately, with my professional expertise accumulated in my previous work experience, I was offered a high salary, which gave me a guarantee when I first joined the business.

But what is really difficult and challenging is the change of role and the adjustment of mentality, because although lawyers earn a good income, their social status is really not high, especially in the process of dealing with the public security law, they often encounter many unspeakable experiences, which will be slowly spit out later.

Every industry has its own characteristics and capabilities, which is the basic condition for adapting and standing in an industry, and the first thing to do is to adjust the mentality. No matter what you used to do, you have to adapt to the rhythm and working methods of the lawyer industry when you become a lawyer. The biggest advantage of working as a public official is that most of your work is on official business, and at least few people will give you a cold face or embarrass you.

Coupled with the relatively high social status, many things are easier to handle, but as a lawyer, it is different. What you represent is personal, in other words, private affairs. You have to face parties with various situations, perceptions and demands, and face various departments that need to deal with your case.

Therefore, it is necessary to face everything in the work with a more tenacious and complicated mentality, which must be cultivated. More importantly, we should learn to deal with the parties, be good at understanding and sympathizing with their difficulties and experiences, and try our best to provide them with legal help within our power.

The first thing I did after I resigned was to buy a car. It is impossible to be a lawyer without a car. As many people say, men just have to be hard on themselves. Although I didn't have money at that time, the total amount was less than 5,000 yuan, but I still got a loan from the bank, borrowed some money, and spent nearly 200,000 yuan to buy a car. For me at that time, it was a huge sum, because I believed that as long as I worked hard.
