Shaoxing State Taxation Bureau was established on 1994. 1September, 1997, after the further separation, the local tax authorities in Zhejiang Province officially started their work independently, taking charge of the collection and management of central tax, central and local taxes and state-designated taxes within Shaoxing City, and under the jurisdiction of Shaoxing County, Zhuji City, Shangyu City, Shengzhou City and Xinchang County State Taxation Bureau. Units directly under the Municipal Bureau at the corresponding level include branches and bureaus directly under the Municipal Bureau.
