The large-scale biosynthesis of protein by using naturally occurring carbon monoxide and nitrogen source (ammonia) has long been regarded by international academic circles as a revolutionary frontier technology that affects the development of human civilization and the cognition of life phenomena. As a big country in feed production and consumption in the world, it is of great strategic significance for China to independently innovate and develop new non-food proteins to reduce and gradually replace its dependence on soybean protein.
