The Faculty of Law of the School of Humanities was established in 2000. The law department has a teaching and research section and the Agricultural Law Research Association of Gansu Law Society. The discipline categories of law specialty are basically complete, the professional foundation has been greatly improved, and it is practical and applied. After the training of three junior college students and four-year undergraduate students, a certain foundation has been formed in the construction of teaching staff and academic quality.

The main courses of law undertaken by the law department of our college mainly include two parts: one is the main courses of law, including jurisprudence, Chinese legal history, constitutional law, administrative law and administrative procedure law, civil law, commercial law, intellectual property law, economic law, criminal law, civil procedure law, criminal procedure law, international law, private international law, international economic law, etc. The second is legal courses, which mainly include sixteen courses, such as evidence law, company law, legal logic, contract law, legal document writing, history of western legal thoughts, accounting and accounting law, financial law, real estate law, introduction to China's legal professional system, international trade law, legal sociology, criminal psychology, marriage inheritance law, arbitration law and legal English. These courses pay attention to the cultivation of students' practical ability and adopt the teaching method of combining theoretical teaching with a large number of case teaching.

There are *** 16 teachers in the department, mainly young teachers, and young teachers under 40 account for nearly 93.75% of the total number of teachers. As far as the structure of professional titles is concerned, professors 1 person, associate professors 10 person, and senior professional titles account for 68.75% of the total number of teachers; 5 people with intermediate titles; As far as the academic structure is concerned, there are 3 teachers with doctoral degrees or studying for doctoral degrees, accounting for 18.75% of the total number of teachers, and1person with master's degrees, accounting for 68.75% of the total number of teachers. As far as the ability structure of teachers is concerned, teachers who can undertake more than two legal courses account for more than 98% of the total number of teachers, and four of them have obtained national legal professional qualifications and are engaged in part-time lawyer work. Teachers have published more than 70 academic papers, compiled 6 teaching materials, and undertaken national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects 12, including 3 national social science fund projects under research.

Academic leader, general branch secretary, Professor Shang Zhenhai, master tutor, engaged in teaching and research of jurisprudence and agricultural law, served as executive vice president of agricultural law research society of Gansu Law Society and other academic positions, and served as legislative adviser and visiting professor of many units. He has published or edited 5 planning textbooks, published more than 30 papers in various academic journals, and successively undertaken 2 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including Gansu Social Science Fund Project 1.

Pan Xing, an academic leader, dean and associate professor, is mainly engaged in teaching, research and legal practice in the fields of civil and commercial law, judicial system and agricultural law. , published 2 planning textbooks, published more than 10 papers, and participated in the completion of 3 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. In 2004, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Lawyer" in Lanzhou; In 2006, as a invited expert of the Political and Legal Committee of Gansu Provincial Party Committee, he participated in the publicity activities of the concept of socialist rule of law in the political and legal system of the whole province and won the "honorary certificate" issued by the Political and Legal Committee of Gansu Provincial Party Committee. He used to be the vice president of the Real Estate Law Research Association of Gansu Law Society and other academic positions, and served as an arbitrator of Tianshui Arbitration Committee and Lanzhou Arbitration Committee and legal adviser of many units respectively.
