The Prime Minister's Office for International Affairs, referred to as "Prime Minister's Office", "General Administration", and "Translation Administration", was a central agency specially established by the Qing government to handle foreign affairs and foreign affairs. It was established on January 20, 1861. It was established with the approval of Emperor Xianfeng. The Prime Minister's Yamen existed for 40 years until the 27th year of Guangxu (AD 1901). According to Section 12 of the "Xinchou Treaty" signed between the Qing government and the great powers, it was changed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, still ranking first among the six ministries.
