Huanghuai College, located in Zhumadian City, Henan Province, is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in 2004. It is a pilot institution of Universities of Applied Sciences reform strategy research of the Ministry of Education, a national training institution of "Hundred Schools Project" of the Ministry of Education, a vice-chairman unit of the National Universities of Applied Sciences League, the first batch of demonstration applied technology undergraduate colleges in Henan Province, and a member unit of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
The school was founded in 197 1, formerly known as Zhumadian Teachers College and Zhongyuan Vocational and Technical College, and merged and upgraded to Huanghuai College in 2004. 202 1 was approved as the construction unit of key projects awarded master's degree in Henan province.
