The first great figure to form strategic thinking in ancient China was Sun Wu. Sun Wu, a famous military strategist in the late Spring and Autumn Period, was named Changqing and was a native of Qi. He went to Qi and returned to Wu earlier. He was indifferent to fame and devoted himself to theoretical research on the art of war. Later, he was recommended and presented to the King of Wu Helu in Chapter 13 of "The Art of War" and was appointed as a general. Together with Wu Zixu, he led an army to attack Chu and won consecutive battles and victories. He was invincible and greatly enhanced the prestige of the Wu state.
