The history of Sanbu old district has been introduced in the previous article, so I won't go into details here.
For the villagers in Sanbu Village, the arcade occupies an important position in our memory, at least in my memory.
The arcades in Laosanbu area are mainly distributed in Dihai and Xinchang, especially Xinchang, which is much larger than Dihai.
When I was a child, Xinchang was mainly a long street, from west to east, connecting the earth and the sea from the East River, like a long ribbon, winding along the Tanjiang River to Xinchang tail to connect Taishan, which is Tongxing Road.
At that time, Xinchang Port was very popular, and the shops in each street had certain functional differences.
Starting from Donghe Street, it is the only "Youth Cinema" in Kaiping, just at the starting point of Donghe Road. When I was a child, I could watch a movie for a few cents. I still remember that scene, it was our only entertainment at that time!
There are no traces of the cinema now!
Pass through the small factories of Donghe Road and Xiqiao Road, or the old community parallel to Wuxi Road, and come to Xinhua Road and Xinhua Back Street, as well as Zhonghua Road, Yongfu Road and Yongfu Back Street.
Walking in Xinchang, "Xinchang Park" must be talked about. From childhood to now, it has been constantly changing, no longer what it used to be, but the most profound thing is the happiness of childhood!
After Xinchang Park, the "Kaiping Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital" we see now is actually the former "Kaiping People's Hospital".
Walking into Xinhua backstreet, a strong smell of fireworks came to my face. It used to be noisy here, and the earliest individual clothing sales market in Kaiping was opened here.
Turning back to the main street from Xinhua Back Street is Xinhua Road, where there used to be a two-story "Xinchang Guo Department Store", which was also the largest and only department store in Kaiping at that time.
There are also photo studios, cloth shops, pharmacies, herbal tea shops and Xinhua Bookstore on the same street. There was no individual economy at that time. These are the only state-run shops, and people's daily needs are solved from this street.
The name of this "scenery photo studio" has not changed, but it has gone through decades, and the signboard is no longer the same, and it has long been closed.
However, the photographic experience of childhood is still vivid, and photography was also a luxury consumption at that time. Sometimes, it is rare to take a family photo, or graduation photo at school. ...
When I was in primary school, I spent most of my time running Xinhua Bookstore. I like to buy comic books with my pocket money at home, so I still have a lot of complete comic books.
Now the shops above have basically changed with the changes of the times, but one or two have survived tenaciously until now, giving those old neighborhoods a place to place their feelings, such as the "Limin" herbal tea shop.
I remember that when I was a child, I had a fever at night, and adults would go to the "Changgong" state-owned pharmacy on this street to buy medicine. The pharmacy closes in the middle of the night, but some people are on duty, some people buy medicines and deliver them through the small window at the gate.
Come to Tongxing Road, which is mainly the school area. At that time, most children's primary schools were "Dade Primary School", which was the most unforgettable school in Laosan Port.
Sanbu Dade Primary School was founded in 19 19, donated by overseas Chinese in towns and cities, with a history of more than 100 years. The school is located at No.95 Tongxing Road, Sanbu Xinchang. 1993 was rated as a first-class school in Guangdong province and a key primary school in Kaiping city.
At that time, most of the children in Sanbu began to study in Dade Primary School, which was my alma mater.
I remember telling stories on stage for the first time and winning an award. Now that I think about it, it is still very beautiful!
The "Golden Sound" lion drum shop in Yongfu Road, Xinchang has been very famous since I was a child! Founded in 1888, it was listed in Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 1990s.
I lived opposite this church when I was a child. At that time, I played with many friends all over the street. It seems like yesterday now.
Of course, there are also many childhood memories that fade away in the triviality of life, and there may be other old ports with different childhood experiences.
Whenever the dead of night, that scene will reappear in our minds, for a long time, for a long time.
Time has smoothed our spirit, and life has rounded our edges and corners. We have reached middle age, and no matter how things change, years can't erase the imprint engraved in our memory.
The arcade of Sanbu New Field was built earlier, and now many arcades are close to or over 100 years old.
