1. Establish and consolidate militia organizations, improve the military and political quality of militia, equip and manage militia weapons and equipment, and reserve reserve soldiers needed in wartime;

3. Prepare to join the army, support the front, resist aggression and defend the motherland;

4. Actively participate in socialist modernization and take the lead in completing production and various tasks;

5, lead the militia class training, complete the training task as planned;

6, conscientiously implement the rules and regulations, strict organizational discipline;

7, strictly confidential, do a good job in safety, to prevent all kinds of accidents.

Joining the militia requires the following conditions:

(1) Age: the age of ordinary militia is 18 to 35 years old; The age requirement for the backbone militia is 18 to 28 years old.

(2) Political conditions: support the party's line, principles and policies, adhere to the Four Cardinal Principles, love the Communist Party of China (CPC), love the socialist motherland, love labor, abide by the law, and have good moral character.

(3) Physical condition: Good health, no disability, no obvious disease.

Militia do not pay wages, but rural militia and militia cadres will give subsidies for lost time according to the income level of the same local labor force during military training. Militia and militia cadres of enterprises and institutions shall be paid wages and bonuses by their original units during military training.

According to the provisions of Article 24 of the Regulations on Militia Work in People's Republic of China (PRC), during military training, the local people's government should adopt the method of balancing the burden and give subsidies for delays according to the income level of the local equivalent labor force.

Militia and militia cadres of enterprises and institutions shall be paid wages and bonuses by their original units during their military training, and their original welfare benefits shall remain unchanged. Their food subsidies and round-trip travel expenses shall be paid by the original unit in relevant projects in accordance with state regulations. Enterprises and institutions organize militia activities by themselves, and the expenses required shall be solved by the unit.
