Chen Hui’s academic achievements

Since 1984, he has been committed to the theoretical research and practice of the occurrence patterns and sustainable control of major forest pests in the northwest region. He has successively participated in the national research work on scientific and technological research on forest pest management in the northwest region during the Seventh Five-Year Plan, the Eighth Five-Year Plan, and the Ninth Five-Year Plan; he has presided over and completed 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. Currently, he is in charge of 1 National Natural Science Foundation key project, the National “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” science and technology support project, the National Forestry Public Welfare Industry Scientific Research Project, and the Ministry of Education Doctoral Program Fund Project. The National Natural Science Foundation of China project "Huashan pine beetles and paraphyte fungi kill host trees", which he presided over, won the first prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2005 and the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2001. First prize, winner of the 6th China Forestry Youth Science and Technology Award in 2002, and enjoyed special government subsidies from the State Council in 2004.
