The responsible editor with intermediate title or above is responsible for the preliminary examination, and it is necessary to edit and process the whole manuscript, write the review opinions after completion, and submit the manuscript to the second examination; The second trial shall be conducted on the basis of the first trial, and shall be undertaken by the person in charge with senior professional title or editorial department. After the second trial, a review report should also be submitted, and then the manuscript should be submitted to the third trial.
The third trial is generally the responsibility of the editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief or editorial director of the publishing house. Combining the opinions of the first and second trials, the manuscript is inspected and macroscopically grasped, and the opinions of the third trial are written. You can't enter the proofreading procedure until the third trial is over. If there are many opinions put forward by the third trial, it needs further verification and revision by the editing unit before a certificate can be discharged.
After the manuscript is sent out, the typesetter will proofread it first, and then send the first sample to the proofreading room for proofreading. Proofreaders generally have one school and two schools (by different people) for the first sample. The first sample is called "a certificate" after being checked by two schools. A proof is proofread by the typesetter, and then the proof is sent to the proofreading room for the third proofreading.
After the proofreader proofreads for the third time, the responsible school is responsible for the technical arrangement of proofreading, supervision and inspection of the quality of each proofreading, and responsible for the read-through work before going to press. In addition to key books, the proofs of many publishing houses after the third proofreading actually become the final proofs. After the final proof is corrected by the typesetter, the new proof is the proof.
