ETC lane system equipment
Electronic toll collection (ETC) is an advanced road toll collection method. It uses microwave technology, and through the special short-distance communication between the roadside unit (RSU) installed in ETC lane and the on-board tag (OBU) installed on the vehicle, the computer automatically completes the whole charging process without stopping, and the staff only needs to manage the charging equipment and passing vehicles.

The whole charging system consists of four parts: 1. The electronic identification card is an active electronic radio frequency card with a power of about11000 watts. Its memory can be used to store various information including vehicle model, license plate number, owner-related information and so on. It is a perfect car identification card and credit card.

2. Transceiver is a kind of equipment with microwave line, which is used to establish high directional high frequency microwave communication with ID card. It has strong anti-interference performance and fast communication ability. France uses European standard 5.8GHz microwave, and the United States uses 2.5GHz microwave. What kind of standards will be adopted in the introduction of this system in China is directly related to the future national expressway network charging, which is a problem worthy of attention.

3. Microprocessor for communication processing. It interprets the information from the identification card and transmits it to the lane controller, thus obtaining the relevant information of the vehicle and processing it accordingly. After analyzing the data information from the lane controller, the data in the identification card can be modified as needed.

4. According to the information on the card, the lane controller can judge whether the passing vehicles have the right to pass normally, judge the validity of the card, start the corresponding traffic signs, and issue a warning to the owner. If there are violations, you can also drive the snapshot system to collect evidence of violations.

The ETC toll road is 7 meters longer than the MTC toll island, and the main ETC lane equipment is installed on this lengthened 7-meter head.

The main equipment of ETC lane includes: roadside read-write controller (RSU), vehicle-mounted machine (OBU), traffic signal lamp, alarm, character stacker, toll indicator, automatic gate machine, lane computer (including display, keyboard and host computer), lane controller, canopy signal lamp, vehicle detector, ground loop, camera and card reader.
