The Department of Management Engineering was formerly the Department of Economic Management of Henan Electromechanical College, which was founded in 1978. Over the past 30 years, relying on social development, guided by professional needs, centered on skills training, aimed at students' employment, and with strict academic attitude and strict and standardized teaching management, our department has trained groups of high-quality skilled professionals who understand technology, know management, have innovative spirit and good professional ethics. The graduates of all majors in our department have broad employment prospects. The one-time employment rate of previous graduates is over 93%, which has won unanimous praise from all walks of life. At present, our department offers and enrolls five majors: computerized accounting, industrial and commercial enterprise management, tourism management, hotel management and secretarial work. The school has more than 950 students. After studying, students should not only have a college diploma, but also obtain professional qualification certificates such as enterprise manager, human resource manager, salesman, tour guide certificate, computerized certificate, accounting certificate and secretarial certificate. The Department of Management Engineering has a strong faculty. There are 35 full-time and part-time teachers in our department, including 32 professional full-time teachers. Teachers are basically master's degree or above, including 5 doctors and doctoral students. There are 3 professors, 3 associate professors, 27 lecturers and 2 teaching assistants. In addition to professional titles, 20 teachers also hold the titles of engineers, accountants and economists, forming a teaching team with senior titles as the core, young and middle-aged teachers as the backbone and "double-qualified" teachers as the backbone. The full-time and part-time teachers in our department have rich teaching experience and are good at guiding students' professional practice. Most teachers have strong abilities in writing papers, compiling teaching materials and engaging in teaching and research reform. Our department attaches importance to the cultivation of students' practical skills. The department has complete experimental facilities, besides enjoying the experimental training facilities and information network system resources related to other departments of the school, it is also equipped with computerized accounting training room, ERP training room, enterprise management sand table laboratory, travel agency management, hotel catering, guest room simulation training room and so on. At the same time, our department has established more than 30 off-campus training bases or school-enterprise cooperation units inside and outside the province, such as Hairun in Qingdao, Sheng Hui in Qingdao, Changshuo in Shanghai, Boya Hotel in Shanghai, Howard Johnson Hotel in Shanghai, Zhongxing Certified Public Accountants in Henan, Zhongcheng Certified Public Accountants in Henan, Xinxiang Daily, Baligou Scenic Area in Xinxiang, Wan Xianshan Scenic Area and Wangmang Ridge Scenic Area. Baligou and Wan Xianshan Scenic Area were listed as "Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Bases" by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League in 20 10. Practice base provides a reliable guarantee for training skilled talents. The innovative experience of establishing a new mode of cooperation between our department and scenic spots was reported in Henan Economic News and Xinxiang Daily. The fourth edition of China Education News 20 1 14 reported the reform achievements and innovative experiences of practical teaching for tourism majors. In addition, the second class activities of students in our department are rich and colorful. The student associations established in our department include Tourism Association, Accounting Association, Entrepreneurship Association, Mingxin Reading Club and Slada Chaoyang English Reading Club. After three years of study, students in our department have mastered strong professional and technical ability. Gao Ya Juan, a tourism major in Grade 04, won the first prize of Grade C (higher vocational education) in national english contest for college students in 2007. Gao Juan, a business administration student of Grade 08, won the first prize in Henan Division in the 2009 National Oral English Competition for College Students. In 2009, Lei Heng, a student of Class 09 1 in our hotel, won the first prize of Xinxiang Tour Guide Style Competition. 20 10 students of our department won the second prize of the national college students' sand table competition; 20 1 1 our students won the first prize in the national college students' sand table competition and so on. Under the leadership of the department's leading group, the management department has been pioneering and United, and has been commended by the school many times. 20 10 was rated as "Advanced Department of Scientific Research", and 20 1 1 was rated as "Advanced Department of Student Work" and "General Branch of the May 4th Red Flag League".
