Many foreign lawyers are indeed well-paid and even rich, but this is also a minority. From the perspective of universality or average, even foreign lawyers can't say how high their income is.
And people in the industry often think that this is a high-paying profession. This is also because I can't see clearly in it. In addition, the reason why people in the industry think that lawyers' income is not very high also reflects their inner pursuit of higher.
Over the years, China's law offices can gradually catch up with Europe and America in terms of hardware conditions. In terms of service level and ability, it is also constantly improving. In fact, with the improvement of the level, especially the prosperity of China's economic background, the income level of lawyers is also rising. People inside and outside the industry and even all walks of life have noticed that if a lawyer represents a case, a litigation case can cost more than 50 million yuan, and a non-litigation project can cost nearly 100 million yuan. I have to admit that this is indeed a sky-high charge. But it must also be noted that these are very special circumstances. Even top lawyers don't often receive such high fees. Then again, although the income is not that high, it is not unusual for lawyers to earn millions or tens of millions a year.
Compared with enterprises, law firms are still relatively so-called light asset industries, with less investment and not so high output. Lawyers still appear as professionals, and lawyers and entrepreneurs are really incomparable. If we have to compare, we should still compare lawyers with their counterparts in intermediaries such as accountants and tax agents. The annual turnover of the whole lawyer industry is conservative at the level of 1 000 billion yuan, which is only equivalent to 1 000 enterprises before the private economy in China. There are hundreds of thousands of lawyers on average in China. The average turnover of each person can only reach more than 300,000 yuan. This is the so-called total income. After deducting many hidden costs of lawyers, combined with the hardships and high degree of specialization of lawyers for ten years, the income level of lawyers is not high.
In fact, it is not very accurate to say that the income level of the whole industry is high or low. No matter which industry you choose, you will stick to it and make achievements.
