First, the current problems in government information work
(A) the existence of "going it alone" phenomenon. Information work is basically undertaken by the office, and grass-roots institutes and business departments pay little attention to it, and some lack writing skills, resulting in a large number of materials in their hands not being summarized in time, resulting in the loss of information resources. Some just write information to complete the task, without creating a strong atmosphere of information propaganda work.
(2) The quality of information cannot be guaranteed. In the information submitted, some topics are not prominent, some contents are empty, there are no concrete examples and data, some information structures are not rigorous enough, lack of logic, and some information is inconsistent and cannot reflect the theme.
(3) The information reporting mechanism is not perfect. There is no full-time information officer, no restriction mechanism and lack of effective management, which leads to the lack of initiative in submitting information.
Second, the main reasons for the problems
There are many reasons for the above problems, both subjective and objective, both overall and personal. In summary, there are the following aspects:
(A) ideological understanding is not in place. Think that government information is a retreat, or think that information work is an office matter, emphasizing business over publicity, and fail to fully realize the importance of government information in serving leaders' decision-making, promoting central work, and showing the image of departments.
(B) poor access to information materials. Good experiences, practices and suggestions in the work are in the front line, and a large amount of information comes from the grassroots front line and business departments. The enthusiasm for submitting information is generally not high, resulting in a waste of information resources and blocking a channel for leaders to understand the situation and policy implementation.
(3) Lack of incentive and restraint mechanisms. Information work is just a matter of responsibility. It only depends on the sense of responsibility and selfless dedication to promote the work, which will affect the work enthusiasm for a long time.
III. Countermeasures and Suggestions
(1) Strengthen organizational leadership. Leaders' attention is the key to promoting information work. We should firmly establish the concept that government information is the most direct and effective way to report work, reflect the situation, and enhance communication and exchange experience internally. We should change the practice of "speaking is important, being busy is secondary" and establish an organizational leadership mechanism with standardized system, reasonable collocation and orderly operation.
(2) Strengthen safeguard measures. Focusing on training full-time and part-time information workers, we will implement the responsibilities and objectives and tasks of information work to people and strengthen education and training. At the same time, we will improve the incentive mechanism, provide additional funds and subsidies to units and individuals who have completed the information, evaluate the excellent first, go out to study and other generous treatments, so that departments and individuals who are willing, capable and successful can look forward to it, so as to stimulate the vitality of information work in the whole system.
(3) Establish an assessment mechanism. Information submitted to the implementation of regular notification and annual assessment of the combination of methods. Every year, the use of information is summarized, and the units and individuals with outstanding information work are commended and rewarded. The units and individuals that fail to submit information as required, the quality of information is low, or the information submitted is inaccurate, inaccurate and wrong, which causes adverse effects, shall be informed criticism.
