What's the matter with a tax refund of 0?
There are several reasons:
1, there was no advance tax in the previous tax year.
The so-called tax refund refers to the tax overpaid in the previous tax year. If the tax was not paid in the previous tax year and the personal income did not reach the threshold of 5,000 yuan/month, then the tax refund will be zero, that is, there is no tax that can be refunded.
2. The prepaid taxes and fees are equal to the taxable fees.
Refund and supplementary tax amount = tax payable-prepaid tax amount. If the result is negative, it is tax refund; If the result is positive, then it is tax payment; If the tax payable is exactly equal to the tax paid in the previous tax year, then the tax refund amount will be zero.
3. There are errors or doubts in the tax declaration data.
For example, if the tax refund deduction items are not filled in correctly, relevant supporting materials need to be provided for the deduction items, and the annual comprehensive income declaration is incorrect, etc., it may lead to the failure of tax review and the situation that the tax refund is zero.
4, do not meet the conditions of tax refund.
Special additional deductions for individual tax include seven items: children's education, continuing education, serious illness medical care, housing loan interest, housing rent, support for the elderly and care for infants under 3 years old. Taxpayers who meet the corresponding conditions can apply for tax refund when the tax is settled in the next year if they fail to declare the deduction or declare it late. However, if the tax refund conditions are not met, then the tax refund is naturally 0.
5, did not take the initiative to apply for tax refund
After the annual settlement of comprehensive income is completed, the system will automatically calculate the refundable/payable tax amount. If there is a tax refund amount that can be applied for, and the taxpayer does not actively click the "Apply for Tax Refund" button, it will be regarded as giving up the tax refund, so the individual tax refund will be zero, but as long as it is within the above tax refund period, the taxpayer can still re-apply for tax refund.
