Guangdong Maoming Binhai New Area (hereinafter referred to as Maoming Binhai New Area) is adjacent to Yangjiang in the east, Zhanjiang in the west, facing the South China Sea, and backed by the southwest and south-central regions of China. It is located in the core area where Pan-Pearl River Delta, Southwest Economic Circle and Central South Economic Circle meet and overlap. The eastern part is connected with the economically developed Pearl River Delta, which is the frontier area to undertake industrial transfer. The west and north are backed by the southwest and south-central regions of China, and the hinterland is vast; South of the vast South China Sea, it is located in the transportation corridor of economic ties between China and ASEAN countries, which has favorable conditions for developing an open economy. Binhai New Area has a solid petrochemical industry foundation, rich resources, large environmental capacity, excellent ecosystem and high population carrying capacity. It is an emerging growth pole with great development potential and supporting and leading role in western Guangdong.
The planned area of Binhai New Area is 1688 square kilometers, including Maonan District, Maogang District, Dianbai County 19 towns, 6 sub-district offices and high-tech industrial development zones.
Now there are three organizations: Maogang Maonan and Dianbai.
