1June, 1992, the municipal government established the office of the former Jiaonan Economic and Technological Development Zone Construction Leading Group. In February 65438 of the same year, Shandong Provincial People's Government approved it as a provincial-level export-oriented industrial processing zone. 1March, 1994, the Administrative Committee was established (hanging the brand of export-oriented industrial processing zone in the city) as an agency of the municipal government. In February 20001year, it was upgraded to the sub-county level specification, and in February 2002, it was renamed as "former Jiaonan Economic Development Zone" with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Government. In September, 20001year, the municipal government established Jiaonan Investment Promotion Bureau, which co-located with the Development Zone Management Committee. From June 5438 to February 2004, China Merchants was established independently and no longer co-located with the Development Zone Management Committee. The CMC consists of office, Economic Development Bureau, Social Affairs Bureau, Planning and Construction Bureau and Finance and Taxation Bureau, all of which are administrative units with official specifications.
The former Jiaonan Economic Development Zone is close to the Yellow Sea, with a pleasant climate of119 30 east longitude and 35 35 north latitude. The intersection of Taixue Highway, Haibin Highway and National Highway 204 is 20 kilometers and 40 kilometers away from Jiaohuang Railway and Ji Jiao Railway respectively, 20 kilometers away from Qingdao Qianwan Port and 50 kilometers away from Qingdao International Airport. The land, sea and air transportation is very convenient.
At present, the total infrastructure investment in this area has reached 400 million yuan, forming a complete infrastructure system. The roads in the area are in a network layout, all hardened, green, beautified and lighted; Water supply and drainage facilities are perfect, with two water trunk lines with daily water supply of 65438+ 10,000 tons and a large sewage treatment plant with daily treatment capacity of 60,000 tons; Power supply facilities are complete, with three 35 kV substations, which can meet the production and living needs of different types of enterprises. At the same time, the communication facilities are advanced, the digitalization of optical cable transmission and the program control of digital exchange are realized, and the post and telecommunications services are complete and convenient.
The municipal administrative office center is located in the middle of the development zone, and the departments directly under the city, such as banking, taxation, radio and television, and telecommunications, have moved into the zone. Public security, industry and commerce, justice, environmental protection, market, insurance and other municipal departments have branches. Marked by the Municipal Experimental Middle School, No.6 Middle School, Experimental Primary School and Binhai Primary School, the whole region has formed a perfect education system from kindergarten, primary school, junior high school and senior high school. The development zone hospital covers an area of 100 mu, and is a key medical institution on the west coast of Qingdao. Seaside parks and bathing beaches in this area attract many domestic and foreign tourists every year.
