Dadukou Town, to which dongzhi county belongs, is located in the south bank plain of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a river and a lake. It is the only place for traffic between Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain and Lushan Mountain, an international tourist resort, and faces Yingjiang District of Anqing City across the river. The town has a total area of 108 square kilometer and a population of 80,300. Dadukou Town is one of the old four towns in the east, a central city in the north of the east, a sub-county town, a national key town, an important part of the industrial transfer demonstration zone in Wanjiang City Belt, a modern industrial and trade port town, a regional (John Wan) quality production and living service center, a provincial development zone Dadukou Economic Development Zone, and the location of shitai county Industrial Park. Its GDP is 2014, ranking first among the towns in southwest Anhui. Dadukou Town is a tourist and leisure resort node in Wanjiang, with dense water network and rich water culture. There are national scenic spots such as Jinshenghu Nature Reserve, Long Yuan Tourism Resort and Yangtze River Wetland Park.
