I like to fiddle with things at home every day and accumulate some experience in using glue. See that there are very few posts on glue in this forum, so I send this post for your reference (you will have a look wherever you think and write).
When you mention glue, you will inevitably mention 502, the two brothers are good and so on. N years ago, I used to love to use these things. But with more contact with glue, I found that glue with better performance can be completely replaced (described below). Therefore, glue such as 502 and Geliahao has basically been abandoned by me and is not included in my spare material library.
1, hot melt adhesive
Hot melt adhesive is something that is often seen and used in electrical appliances. Such as the fixing of electrolytic capacitors and the fixing of flat cables. Some headdresses of little girls are often glued with this thing.
This kind of glue is suitable, and the bonding strength is not high, but it is not bad. However, it has the advantages of good filling property, fast curing speed, easy operation, and wide use, especially suitable for objects with large bonding surface, low requirements on bonding strength and needing filling.
I believe everyone knows how to use it, so I won't introduce it here. Need to be reminded that if you use it frequently, it is recommended to buy a hot melt glue gun.
2, glass glue
Glass glue is somewhat similar to hot melt adhesive. Its waterproof performance is excellent, and water pipes, stoves and other places that need waterproof belong to him. On the contrary, electronic appliances are of little use (except washing machines and drinking fountains).
But its shape is not easy to trim, and it is sticky. After a bottle of glue is opened, the rest will be invalid after a long time. These two points are quite different from hot melt adhesive.
It is similar to hot melt adhesive in that the bonding strength is not very great, and it is flexible and can be used for temporary bonding. However, the glass glue takes a long time to cure (sometimes it is beneficial to have more time to dispose of the interface) and is not easy to clean.
3, 602 Ding Qing glue
This glue has poor bonding strength, but it is called "super glue", which is really funny.
Although this glue has poor bonding strength, it has high viscosity (that is, it is very sticky), is flexible, easy to remove and is also very suitable. I often need it. Because, I often use it for temporary bonding without strength requirements, and sometimes it is really impossible to do without it-for example, the rubber foot (or nameplate) of the base of a small electrical appliance covers the fixing screw of the casing, and this glue is needed to stick the rubber foot (or nameplate) after disassembling and repairing this small electrical appliance, so that it can be easily disassembled next time.
4. Hezhong AAA Super Adhesive
This glue is epoxy resin structural glue, that is, it has high bonding strength and hardness, and can be used as a casing and can bear stress.
This glue is a two-component glue (so-called AB glue). Besides its high bonding strength, it also has a very prominent feature after curing, that is, it is transparent and does not affect the appearance of the adherend. There are many things that can be adhered, such as iron, aluminum, bakelite, hard plastics and ceramics (but not copper). Therefore, I like this glue very much and often recommend it to my friends.
PS: Two-component glue provides a plastic stick, which has a slippery surface and will not stick to the glue. In professional parlance, this material belongs to LSE(low surface energy) material, such as polypropylene material. For materials with low surface energy, most glues can't handle it. Only a few models, such as 3M's industry-leading DP80 10 and DP8005, can stick well, but the glues of these two models are very expensive (over 100 yuan each), which is inconvenient for amateur use (the mixing ratio is very different, so it is advisable to use 3M's glue gun, and it will cost hundreds of yuan).
Because Hezhong brand AAA Super Glue is epoxy resin glue (DP460 and DP 190 of 3M are also such AB glue), its chemical/physical characteristics are stable, it is not afraid of water, and it is still stable after long-term use without degumming. Here are some comparisons (comparison between AB adhesive containing propylene group and AB adhesive containing epoxy resin):
(1)502 glue is dry glue water, so the construction speed is fast. However, its chemical/physical properties are very poor, and it is brittle after drying, not vibration-proof and afraid of water.
(2) Geerhao, Kraft Strong AB glue and 3M DP8 10, which are introduced later, are all propylene-based glues. The advantages of propylene-based glue are that the bonding surface does not need special treatment, and it is slightly oily and not afraid, and its curing speed is faster than that of epoxy resin glue. But its chemical and physical properties are not as good as epoxy resin adhesive. I have noticed that after the brothers and sisters glued the glue and Kraft AB, they began to become brittle and degummed several months later (3M's DP8 10 didn't notice, because 3M is a leading manufacturer in the glue industry, this aspect may be much better-as if it were mentioned in its DATASHEET).
(3) Hezhong brand AAA Super Adhesive is transparent, and its appearance will not be affected after being adhered. Other glues not introduced this time are comparable (even 3M rarely has transparent epoxy resin glue models).
(4) Brothers and sisters stick better than 502, but there is a big gap compared with Hezhong AAA Super Adhesive. The quick-drying version of Hezhong AB adhesive introduced next is also better than the two brothers, and 502 sticks firmly. Of course, compared with DP8 10 and DP460, the adhesive performance of Hezhong AAA Super Adhesive is worse.
PS: 3M's various glues DATASHEET lists the bonding strength of various materials (at least ten kinds and eight kinds) and the hardness, insulation strength, thermal expansion coefficient, temperature adaptability and environmental adaptability after curing, and all the data are given. However, domestic glues are all "fuzzy" with words, and all say that their bonding performance is NB, which makes users very confused. Hezhong brand AAA super adhesive is good, and the limited bonding data of two materials are listed in the manual: steel to steel 10- 18MPa, aluminum to aluminum 8- 14MPa.

In practical application, in addition to bonding the electrical cabinet, I also used Hezhong AAA Super Adhesive to bond ceramic cups, suitcases (lined with aluminum strips for reinforcement) and shoes. Among them, the input-output ratio of sticky shoes is the highest, because the cost of glue is only a few yuan. The picture shows the latest application-it is used to stick the lamp shell cover (the glue is yellow before it is dried and becomes transparent after it is dried).
Interestingly, I used to buy this glue all the time after I found it, but in recent years, the local store didn't supply it. Recently, I bought it through an online jewelry store (the owner mainly provided him with diamonds, ornaments and so on).
5, Hezhong brand 5 minutes fast curing AB glue
It's a quick-drying version of Hezhong AAA Super Adhesive. The curing speed is fast, but the adhesion performance is decreased.
The actual use shows that the curing speed is not as good as that of Ge Er and Kraft's propylene-based glue, and the bonding strength is roughly the same as Kraft's. But it should still belong to epoxy resin type, and its stability will be better.
6. Glue like brothers and sisters.
In the photo, I bought the unused AB glue for the brothers a few years ago. They are all things that are often sold in various stores, namely staple goods.
When I found that the kraft strong AB adhesive introduced next could be completely replaced (kraft adhesive strength is better, the price by weight is lower, and everything else is basically the same), so I don't need two brothers.
7. Kraft strong AB glue
The suits of the two branches bought online are around 10 yuan, and the weight is sufficient. Now it is used to replace the two brothers. I will use it when the requirements are not strict, because the curing speed is satisfactory. If it is an instrument or the like that needs to be used for a long time, don't use it.
8, 704 one-component silicone rubber
This kind of glue can resist high temperature and be waterproof, but the bonding strength is not good, which is not as good as the previous glue except 602. I don't use it much in practice, mainly as a backup. I have used the high-voltage line that sticks to the TV (anti-ignition), and it is available. It has also been used to glue the seams of the stove, but it ended in failure, because it won't stick well after a short period of use, so we have to use the glass glue again.
9. White latex
The so-called craft white latex, woodworking glue. It is mainly used for sticking wood and paper, and it is rarely used at ordinary times.
10, kraft liquid raw material belt
Water pipes are used for solid sealing. Can replace the raw material belt, sometimes it is more convenient to use it than to use the raw material belt.
1 1, conductive adhesive
This glue belongs to the glue mixed with graphite powder. It is specially used to repair the remote control. The price is not high, but it works well and can solve the problem. There is only one disadvantage after repair, that is, after a long time of use, some of the graphite powder will fall off after the glue dries, which sometimes leads to misleading buttons.
12, loctite 222 thread sealant
This is a big brand of thread sealant. I mainly used for temporary sealing (i.e. dismounting) of 2mm\3mm\4mm screws of electrical appliances, so I chose this model with low bonding strength. It is mainly used to prevent screws from falling off, such as: the screw fixation of multimeter grid frame and the switch screw of pointer multimeter.
13, domestic 340 screw sealant
I don't use it much myself, but sometimes I need it, such as the screw sealing of moving parts of vehicles and washing machines. So I bought this staple goods.
14, Sanxi plastic steel mud
I bought this one when I was treating water leakage at home. It was originally recommended for water tank maintenance, waterproofing and leakage treatment. It is said that it was made in Taiwan Province. It is found to be quite easy to use. After drying, it looks like cement. It is very hard and has strong plasticity before drying, which can seal the leaking place.
DP 15 and 3M two-component epoxy resin structural adhesive
This glue was given by a friend and expired when it reached my hand. I have used it once or twice, and I feel that the bonding strength is not as good as that of Hezhong AAA Universal Adhesive.
This glue is very flowing, so it is inconvenient to use. So ... 3M Some glues also produce models with NS suffix, because NS stands for Non-sag, that is, there is no dripping.
This glue should be a versatile structural adhesive, which can bond a variety of plastics, but its performance is not excellent.
16, 3M DP8 10 two-component propylene-based structural adhesive
It may be the best propylene-based structural adhesive in the industry. I just bought it, but I haven't used it yet. I'm going to use it at a critical moment.
Bonding has a wide range of applications, except LSE materials, which can basically bond well. See attached figure for performance.
17, 3M DP460 two-component epoxy resin structural adhesive
It may be the epoxy resin structural adhesive with the best bonding performance in the industry, and it is most suitable for bonding metal materials. See the attached figure for its performance. I have used bakelite and found that the bonding strength is excellent. Compared with the hard block formed by glue drying, it feels that the strength of this hard block is almost the same as that of the plastic of domestic casing.
PS: in memory, the strength of various two-component glue lumps is listed as follows (which should reflect their bonding strength): DP460 > of 3M; Hezhong brand AAA super adhesive > Expired DP 190, kraft strong AB adhesive >: The two brothers are good at AB glue > 502 instant glue
The price of DP 190, 8 10 and DP460 of PS: 3m on Taobao is between 50-80 yuan. In contrast, Hezhong brand AAA adhesive is only a few yuan, which is the most cost-effective structural adhesive.
