Which digital data coding method belongs to self-contained clock coding?
Manchester coding, also known as phase coding (PE), is a synchronous clock coding technology, which is used by the physical layer to encode the clock and data of synchronous bit stream. In Manchester coding, 1 and 0 are distinguished by different phases of voltage jumps, that is, positive voltage jumps represent 0 and negative voltage jumps represent 1. Therefore, this kind of coding is also called phase coding. Because the jump occurs in the middle of each symbol, the receiver can conveniently use it as a bit synchronization clock, so this coding is also called self-synchronization coding. It can also be said that it has its own clock synchronization.
