In the master plan, six provinces and regions including Shandong, Jiangsu, Guangxi, Hebei, Yunnan and Heilongjiang have established free trade pilot zones. Up to now, the number of free trade pilot zones in China has increased to 18.
Shandong has three districts, Jinan District, Qingdao District and Yantai District. Jinan area ***37.99 square kilometers, Qingdao area ***52 square kilometers, Yantai area ***29.99 square kilometers.
Each district undertakes different tasks. According to different regional characteristics and the combination of modern economy, each district will give full play to its role and bring greater convenience to our economic development.
Among them, Jinan area focuses on the development of artificial intelligence, industrial finance, medical and health care, cultural industry, information technology and other industries; Qingdao area focuses on the development of modern ocean, international trade, shipping logistics, modern finance and advanced manufacturing; Yantai area focuses on developing high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, next-generation information technology, energy conservation and environmental protection, biomedicine and producer services.
Shandong Pilot Free Trade Zone mainly aims at cultivating new trade formats and modes, accelerating the development of marine characteristic industries and exploring local economic cooperation among China, Japan and South Korea. Among them, Yantai will build a pioneer zone for Sino-Korean trade and investment cooperation, a marine intelligent manufacturing base, a demonstration zone for national scientific and technological achievements and international technology transfer and transformation, and then Jinan and Qingdao will also build a logistics center, a scientific and technological innovation center and a demonstration zone for marine economic development.
It can be seen that the selection of these three regions in Shandong has special significance. Of course, the economic development of these three areas will inevitably bring greater convenience to the economic development of Shandong as a whole, and the biggest beneficiaries will be the people.
