Introduction to Guangxi:

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, referred to as "Guangxi" for short, is a provincial-level administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC), with Nanning as the capital, located at the southeast edge of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the second step of China's topography, and in the west of Guangdong-Guangxi hilly region; Mainly distributed in mountainous areas, hills, terraces, plains and other landform types, the central and southern hills are flat and basin-shaped, which is called "Guangxi Basin";

The administrative area is 237,600 square kilometers. In 2022, the permanent population of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was 50.47 million. In the 23rd year of Yuan Dynasty (1363), Guangxi was established as a book province, which was the beginning of the establishment of Guangxi. During the Republic of China, Guangxi followed the Qing system and established a province. 1March, 958, Guangxi Province was changed to "Guangxi Yi Autonomous Region", 19651October, and "Guangxi Yi Autonomous Region" was renamed as "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region".

Guangxi is a multi-ethnic autonomous region, and the population of ethnic minorities ranks first in the country, accounting for 37.6% of the resident population in the region. There are 12 ethnic groups living in the world, including Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, Dong, Mulao, Maonan, Hui, Beijing, Yi, Shui and Gelao, among which Zhuang accounts for 37.6% of the permanent population in the whole region. Bagui culture is the main content of Guangxi national culture and a part of Lingnan culture.

Guangxi is the only minority autonomous region in China and the only coastal area in the west. It is an important gateway and frontier for China to open to the outside world, move towards ASEAN and the world, and is the most convenient seaport in southwest China. National strategies such as the new land and sea passage in the west, the Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration, and the Pearl River-Xijiang Economic Belt have been implemented in depth.

Spanning Guangxi, Guangdong and Hainan provinces, backed by the southwest, adjacent to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and facing Southeast Asia, it is an important hub of the Maritime Silk Road and has a unique position in the strategic pattern of western development and the overall situation of the country's opening up. In 2022, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region achieved a regional GDP of 2,630.087 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9% over the previous year.
