Jinxian, a county under the jurisdiction of Nanchang City, is located in the middle of Jiangxi Province, on the south bank of Poyang Lake, between Fuzhou River and the lower reaches of Xinjiang River, bordering dongxiang county in the east, Linchuan City in the south, facing Nanchang County and fengcheng city in the west by Fuhe River, and adjacent to yugan county in the north, with an area of 197 1 km2, and governing 17 townships.
