Haining is located in Zhejiang Province, in the south wing of China Yangtze River Delta, in the north of Zhejiang Province, bordering Haiyan County in the east, Qiantang River in the south, facing Shangyu District of Shaoxing and Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou across the river, Yuhang District of Hangzhou and Xiasha District of Jianggan District in the west, and Tongxiang City and Xiuzhou District of Jiaxing in the north.
