Historical evolution

Yongxiu, ancient Aidi, Qinli Jiujiang County. In the sixth year of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, Haihun County was established. In the second year of Yuanjia of the Southern Song Dynasty, "Haihun was abolished and moved to Changjuyan", and its name was changed to Jianchang County.

In 1914, because it had the same name as Jianchang Road in Sichuan Province, it was renamed Yongxiu County. It was named after the water built in the territory, which means "Pan comes to build water and will benefit from it forever".

In 1979, Chengshan Commune (Gan Gefa [1979] No. 10) was established. On March 30, 1987, Nangang Township and Bajiaoling Township were established (Ganfu Tingzi [1987] No. 1158 Approval). On October 22, 1990, Qiujin Township was abolished and Qiujin Town was established (Ganminzi [1990] No. 140 Approval).

On January 3, 1993, Aicheng Township, Baicha Township, and Jiangyi Township were abolished, and Aicheng Town, Baicha Town, and Jiangyi Town were established; Nangang Township and Bajiaoling Township were abolished; and Xinxiang Government Residency was established. Moved from Yangsi Village to Dujiashan, Zhongcun (Ganminzi [1993] No. 3 approval).

On March 10, 1995, Tanxi Township, Sanxiqiao Township, and Meitang Township were abolished and Tanxi Town, Sanxiqiao Town, and Meitang Town were established (Ganminzi [1995] Approval No. 35) .
