Arriving in jiangjin district, Chongqing, I was immediately intoxicated by the charm of mountains and rivers here. Zhong Jie, head of the Cultural Tourism Promotion Section of the District Culture and Tourism Development Committee, told us that Jiangjin was named after being located in the Yangtze River. It was founded in the fifth year of Yongming in Nanqi (AD 487) and has been established as a county for more than 1500 years. In 1992, it was withdrawn from the county to set up a city, and in 2006, it was withdrawn from the city to set up a district. Jiangjin is the hometown of Marshal Nie Rongzhen and the residence of Chen Duxiu in his later years. Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple is like an axis of ink painting, which is hand-picked by autumn colors, and it seems to have a pleasant painting scene with mountains and rivers and clouds flowing.

The Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple, with profound historical accumulation and large scale, is also called West Shaolin, with a total area of/kloc-0.5 million square meters. According to the inscriptions in the temple, Shuangfeng Temple was built at the end of the Tang Dynasty, and was successively maintained in the Ming Dynasty, Kangxi and Daoguang years in the Qing Dynasty. At that time, people rebuilt the temple here according to the pattern of Shaolin Temple, the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism, and it was named "Jingde Temple" at that time. Later, it was renamed Shuangfeng Temple because it was backed by the Shuangfeng Mountain.

Shuangfeng Temple adheres to the practice concept that learning should live in the mountains and stay away from the hubbub, implements self-sufficiency in production, regards daily work as an integral part of meditation, and implements the guiding ideology of Zen combining agriculture and Zen. Shuangfeng Temple once opened a school called "Shuyuantou" in the nearby Taihe Field of zhongshan town. There were a lot of temple products built in the Fiona Fang of the temple for dozens of miles, and Shaolin Temple martial arts were introduced. At its peak, there were 500 monks alone.

Shuangfeng Temple is a well-preserved and famous compound courtyard Zen temple in Xishui, Guizhou, Hejiang, Sichuan, Jiangjin and Qijiang, Chongqing. The preserved ancient buildings cover an area of about 6,500 square meters, except for some residents, the temple building is about 3,500 square meters. There are 5 ancient tombs, 55 Han tombs 155, more than 0/0 couplets/kloc, more than 0/5 murals/kloc-0, and many stone carvings and wood carvings. In front of the temple, there is a 500-level giant stone slab road leading directly to the upper reaches of Sunxi River. These stone slabs are 1.2 meters long, 0.7-0.8 meters wide and 0.2 meters thick.

According to legend, when you want to be a monk in the temple, everyone must bear such a stone and take a step to be ordained as a monk. The architectural style of Simian Mountain Scenic Area is in harmony with the characteristics of southern Fujian and southwest. Because of its deep historical origin with Shaolin Temple, in 20 12, with the approval of Jiangjin District Committee and government, Shuangfeng Temple was rebuilt on the old site. In 20 14, Shuangfeng Temple was renamed as "Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple" with the approval of Chongqing Buddhist Association.

The Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple is built on the mountain, backed by the twin peaks and the flag mountain, surrounded by dragons and tigers, with three rivers and Huiyuan in the vestibule and thousands of mountains winding. From a distance, the red brick glazed tiles with Minnan characteristics shine among the towering green hills, and set off with the blue bricks and black tiles in the southwest, which has a unique charm. On the premise of completely retaining the Shuangfeng Temple, Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple was extended and expanded along the mountain. The Shuangfeng Temple was rebuilt in the spring of Renchen year (AD 20 12) and completed in the autumn of B year (AD 20 15). Including the Heavenly King Hall, Ursa Major Hall, Zhunti Hall, Scripture Collection Building, Manjusri Pavilion, Pu Xian Pavilion, Guanyin Pavilion, Bell Tower, Drum Tower and other temples and facilities, it is built according to the regulations of Quanzhou Shaolin Temple, covering an area of 800 mu, with an overall protection area of more than 2,000 mu. The name of the temple was inscribed by Chuan Yin, the former president of the Chinese Buddhist Association. After the completion of the temple, Shi Chang, the vice president of the Fujian Buddhist Association and the abbot of Quanzhou Shaolin Temple, was placed in the management of the abbot, inheriting Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Wushu, and became the fourth largest Shaolin Zen temple in China.

The opening ceremony was held in 20 15 and officially opened to the public. Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple is based on Quanzhou Shaolin Temple. A few years ago, Zheng Derong, a Fujian businessman who developed in Chongqing, visited the Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou. At that time, the scene of boxing and chanting in the Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou made him feel vitality and Zen, and the cultural brand of South Shaolin in Quanzhou has long been well-known at home and abroad, so he came up with the idea of introducing Shaolin culture to the west, and then enthusiastically donated money for construction.

With the full support of Chongqing Jiangjin District Committee and Government, it was completed in three years. Since abbot Shi Chang-ding led Master Chang Xian and monks from the prison to enter the construction management in 20 12, Simian Mountain Shaolin Temple has continued its legal tradition, inherited Shaolin martial arts and Buddhist culture, and integrated local tourism, religion, commerce and landscape resources. It has been built and developed into a spiritual temple integrating religion, martial arts and tourism, and is an important cultural brand in jiangjin district, Chongqing.
