As a foreign trade accountant, my main job is to handle financial affairs related to foreign trade business, including import and export customs declaration, foreign exchange collection and settlement, export tax refund, etc. The following is my daily work flow:
I will assist the sales department to complete contract signing and approval procedures based on business needs to ensure the legality and standardization of contract terms. I will communicate with suppliers or customers in a timely manner to understand the delivery date, payment method and other information agreed in the contract, and prepare for subsequent accounting processing.
Next, I will complete the import and export customs declaration procedures in accordance with the terms of the contract and relevant laws and regulations. This includes preparing customs declaration documents, checking commodity codes, confirming customs declaration prices, etc. During the customs declaration process, I will maintain close communication with customs declarers, freight forwarders and other parties to ensure smooth customs declaration progress.
After receiving the payment from the customer, I will process the foreign exchange collection and settlement. This means that I will check the invoice received by the bank to ensure that the payment amount and currency are consistent with the contract, and complete payment confirmation and accounting processing in accordance with the company's internal procedures. In this process, I will pay special attention to the impact of foreign exchange rate fluctuations on accounting processing.
I am also responsible for export tax rebates. This includes collecting and organizing necessary documents such as invoices and customs declaration forms, submitting export tax rebate applications to the tax department, and waiting for the review results. Once the tax refund arrives, I will complete the accounting processing in a timely manner to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the company's financial status.
In addition to the main tasks in the above-mentioned workflow, I will also be involved in some other transactional tasks, such as processing employee reimbursements, reviewing payment applications, etc. Although these tasks are trivial, they are an indispensable part of foreign trade accounting work.
As a foreign trade accountant, I know the importance of continuous learning and updating of knowledge. As the international trade situation continues to change and financial regulations are constantly updated, I need to always pay attention to industry trends and policy changes in order to better cope with challenges and changes at work.
The work process of foreign trade accounting involves many aspects such as import and export customs declaration, foreign exchange collection and settlement, and export tax refund.
