_ Introduction to the exhibition area
_ Memories of Gudu
The ancient crossing in Xianyang has a history of more than 3,000 years since the end of Shang Dynasty. During the Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties, Xianyang, as the capital city, the ancient crossing of Xianyang gradually became a busy transportation channel. For thousands of years, it has been the transportation hub of Guanzhong to the western regions and Bashu, and the first stop of the ancient Silk Road. In the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 137 1 year), the west of Xianyang moved to Weishui Post, which really became the largest ferry in Qin Dynasty.
_ Gudu Site
In 2002, when building Xianyang Lake, people accidentally discovered a section of old riverbank ruins. After cleaning and excavation by archaeologists, stone dikes and a large number of cypress stakes, as well as iron columns, iron rings, iron anchors and other ship-tying appliances embedded on the steps were found at the riverbed. In addition, three pieces of stele were found, the first of which was engraved with nine Chinese characters "Records of Newly Built Riverbanks in Xianyang County", written by Wang Jiusi, a famous writer in Ming Dynasty.
_ Gudu Impression
The ancient crossing of Xianyang, which is full of water and sky, has gradually drifted away in the long river of history. With the erection of bridges, the once flowing river, the sail shadow of the mast, the bugle for catching the boat, and the hard-working ferryman wearing a hat and hemp fiber have gradually faded out of sight and will remain in our memory forever.
As an important post station of the Silk Road, Xianyang Gudu witnessed the past of the Silk Road in different historical periods. The cultural relics in the exhibition, from the Han and Tang dynasties to the modern Republic of China, are rich in variety, smart in shape and precious in value, telling the world about the glory here from different levels. Among them, the flower pot of Tang Dynasty in Xianyang Museum, the jade Gao Zubei unearthed from Daquan Han Tomb, and various tricolor wares unearthed from Qibiming Tomb are all rare and precious cultural relics.
