The Deed Tax Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) will come into effect on September, 2002 1,1. The stipulation that the deed tax is 3% to 5% has caused many people to worry about the "deed tax increase". So is it true? What is the new policy of deed tax on apartment property in 2020?
1. According to the preferential policy of deed tax collection for ordinary housing currently implemented in China, the following policies are adopted:
(1) If an individual purchases a family house (the family members include the purchaser, spouse and minor children, the same below) with an area of 90 square meters or less, the deed tax shall be reduced by1%; If the area is over 90 square meters, the deed tax shall be reduced by 1.5%.
(2) For individuals who purchase a second set of improved family housing with an area of 90 square meters or less, the deed tax shall be reduced by1%; If the area is more than 90 square meters, the deed tax will be reduced by 2%.
The second set of improved housing for families refers to the second set of housing purchased by families who already own a set of housing.
Note: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will not be implemented for the time being.
2. Because the apartment property does not belong to ordinary housing, the deed tax is not favorable, and it is generally levied at 3% to 5%.
