Shanghai Anjixing will provide China consumers with all-round automobile safety and communication services, including automatic collision alarm, road assistance, remote unlocking service, hands-free telephone, remote vehicle diagnosis and turning navigation. Founded in 2007, the company is expected to officially provide automobile safety information services for vehicles produced and sold by Shanghai General Motors in China from 2009. This is another expansion of Shanghai General Motors in the field of automobile service after the innovative launch of service brands and products, Chengxin used car business and financial loan service. Anjixing and Shanghai Automobile Industry Sales Co., Ltd., as wholly-owned subsidiaries of General Motors and SAIC respectively, hold 40% of the shares of Anji Anxing. Shanghai GM will hold a 20% stake. OnStar is an automobile safety information service system developed by General Motors.
